Quite simply, Ci¬G needs the new cash to stay afloat...and the Carrack is 90% technical debt. You can guarantee several versions of said Carrack with only the new money variants coming with anything other than sub standard modules and fittings.

Yup.

If they make an upgunned version of the Carrack as the "as close to military spec" it will sell like cakes.

The Argo Mole will bear no resemblance at all to anything from Thunderbirds, but for a very reasonable price will allow Citizens to enjoy the new deep mining game-loop.

Suggestions that NaCl will be the new mining commodity are unsubstantiated at this time...
