Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

Not really coming back. The game is really stable for me those days and I found some really good paying missions in the last patch so I grind to get a caterpillar. I read this forum but restrain to post, I know I will pass too much time with you guys and my catepillar is awaiting me

Nice. But hear me out. How about giving CIG $300 and buying a Caterpillar?

Don't you want to support the game? CIG's devs will go home hungry if you don't pledge enough! (well, more accurately, the game will never be delivered if people don't keep pledging).

I mean, look at it! Only $85,000 yesterday! I'm not even sure how they can keep the lights on!

Are you referring to the "halt illegal surveillance"-missions? They indeed pay quite well... I'm sure they will nerf those soon tbh.

Too bad Odyssey is just around the corner though, it propably steals my precious gaming time.

I do a lot of "eliminate nest", "investigate in derelict" and "boarding action in progress".
They are all FPS missions so no need of a big ship to do them quickly. Even if I own a Nomad I use my Aurora.
My best ratio is with "eliminate nest", I can do 3 to 4 missions by hour for 90k to 120k when I go in full grind mode. For those missions I just need 2 medipens, a heavy armor, a SMG and a bunch of magazines.

I also think they do work hard. There are some results to show for it. However effort is not the same as result - the transmission belt between the two is the management, so it may go well or not work at all.
Ole and Sven were two men courting Lena, a young widow with a large farm. One sunny morning, she called them both into her kitchen. She explained, "Now I like you both, you're both very sweet, but I can only marry one of you. What I really need is someone to help me run this farm. Now then, my cows have been getting into my north field, so I need it fenced off. Ole, I want you to take east side, and Sven you take the west. Whoever plants the most fence posts by the time I bring you both lunch, I'll marry."

Lena watched the two men for a while through her kitchen window. Sven immediately grabbed a shovel, and started digging with gusto. Great clods of sod and dirt flew into the air as the man went to work. Ole, on the other hand, just leaned against the southern fence, staring at the stack of fence posts on his side. Shaking her head, Lena turned her attention to preparing lunch for the three of them.

Three hours later, she packed a basket, and walked to the north field, wondering what, exactly, had happened. On the east side, Ole had not only finished planting his fence posts, but had also taken the slats from her barn, and was currently filling out her new fence. To the west, however, no fence posts were to be seen. Only a long line of dirt mounds revealed that Sven had done any work at all.

Puzzled, Lena approached Sven, and asked, "Sven? What happened? You were working so hard!"

"Well, that Ole, he cheated..." Sven explained. "He left half the posts sticking up!"

Ah, I need to try those!

But you don't need a big ship for those halt surveillance-missions eighter, I've done those with Aurora. Very easy once you get the hang of it. Scan the area until you find and tag three illegal monitors, then destroy them before timer runs out or bad guys come to investigate who is screwing their monitoring.

Liking the new built in mobiglas commodity trading app. It just alerts to supply and demand for the moment...timings and profit margins are a bit low to be properly useful as it is for those like me who enjoy longer distance bulk hauling...but at least it works and could be a way forward from using 3rd party apps. It might be a handy tool once it's more functional...with Ci¬G though, usual disclaimers apply. It also stands to reason that it'll be a handy tool for wannabe space pirates or griefers...just pop open mobiglas to find out where all the haulers are going :)

This guy did a dive into the state of trade in the PTU:

He is not best impressed with it. Or the trade alerts ;)

The trade alert in my journal? The one that only lists Processed Food for its regular prices and is wrong on everything else when it pops up with literally anything else? That makes .20 cents profit, that's maybe 25,000 in a C2 for a half hour run. Not to mention that 83,000 investment I can lose to 30K's and whatever else. Maybe if you actually traded and spent some time with the trade economy you'd learn why people are complaining and why 'noone was doing that neither'.
