Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

Wow, its been years since i saw one of his videos.
Yeah same. I wandered over to let's plays - usually guys like Katherine of Sky and Brothgar: Building something and sometimes using game mechanics in clever ways. Sometimes I would use some ideas for my own.
Or some dude knowing all about the way Vermintide works, some stuff really helps playing a game when you absolutely have no idea what the cryptic skill and gear descriptions in games mean.
Review guys kinda tapered out. There was some walisian guy I enjoyed. He closed his channel when it became a liability. Many started out alone and end up having script writers and sidekicks, when the viewers decline it is a sad thing to witness.

Meh - when a channel turns into an advert with a sponsorship interrupted by adverts and then selling stuff and promoting other platforms to sell yet more stuff and moaning that it’s their full time job - that’s an instant stop and never bother again.

At least the Sandwurmie was stopped, rewound, and started again.

Main sub made a fine bingo card...

Which chanel?

Feels like the old guard are in town (with popcorn in their angry mitts ;))

This thread was fun too...

Is Star Citizen's reputation improving?

LOL

When in reality, as a start-up company, CIG has produced four bespoke pieces of scalable network middleware and 18 supporting backend services from scratch in about nine years (not including all of the other toolkits they've made). There are no other start-ups that managed to make that amount of experimental tech in such a short period.

Still trying to pass CIG off as a small start up indie style company.

As for those techs they've "invented", its tech nobody in their right mind would use.

Who's ready for some deja vu?

Citcon schedule

A bunch of ISC retreads, a callback to that time they talked about future-hair-additions for an hour, more Pyro not-a-demos, a load of mis-uses of the word 'universe', and then a 'closing ceremony' 😁

Best hope Chrissy has some shiny behind that curtain...

So, how many hours are they giving to Tony Zzzzz?

Some hints they will be bigging up Pro there with a couple of slots dedicated to outlaws.

100% Chris will appear to talk about the soon to be released SQ42 and addition of the Pyro system (99% certain they will show off the jump to Pyro... again). Then they will go radio silent on both for the following months.

That schedule looks indeed surprisingly meh and disappointing. It is pretty much mostly filler stuff regarding the PU.

Unless there is a surprise SQ42 announcement or similar there is a conspicuous lack of SQ42 content in that list. It is as if SQ42 had been completely spun off and separated from the PU team.

Hold on, Pyro is not even mentioned? No slot for a key note speech/demo either?

I really hope CIG has some Pyro or SQ42 pre canned videos at least to show in between segments...
