“I’ve got a bad feeling about this”

So I’ve been thinking about this a lot most days since the removal of SQ42 from the store.

With Citcon being right around the corner and, in My opinion, it being overhyped, my fear is that they are about to sell SQ42 as “episodic” and charge “normal” price for each episode.

So 40-70 bucks per episode. It makes sense in my head from a marketing standpoint and why not try to generate some revenue from the actual project itself and. It through ships.

I think it was Erin who recently said something about “piggy backing” off of the hype from Starfield (major paraphrasing) and that kind of was when panik started to set in for me.

I feel like if they do that yeah, we will get part of the campaign and something to chew on, but over the course of “however long it takes” to get episode 2 will be extreme.

I just hope people are tempering their expectations. Some in this community are incredibly salty.

They can charge as much as they want, good luck getting anyone to pay if it's up to CIG's current standards, especially for something they can't hide from legit reviews. Plus they've already squandered the proceeds from a big pile of legacy backers who are owed "Squadron 42", and it'll be interesting to see exactly how they end up stiffing those people by only giving them a small portion of what they were sold.

I wish I could "inspect" and turn or walk at the same time. It takes a few moments to set up. It's not easy to hit the "inspect" text when my arms swing around so much.

Pretty sure you can drunkenly mess with their screen. Or even do it with stern sobriety...

(Or at least you definitely used to be able to do stuff like alter people's refining jobs over their shoulder ;))
