Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

One of these days, I'll dare to go on the Spectrum, so I can leave my reactions right there.

CIG: CitizenCon participiants receive an exclusive, limited trinket with their ticket.
Spectrum: When in store? $200 ok?

Still a very decent sale compared to other sales no? Circa 5 mill on the tracker is nothing to sneeze at. Wonder how the best and most hyped ship ever sale compares to previous sales overall. Pretty sure someone at the subreddit will post the comparison soon.

It's easy to be apathetic about ship sales revenue. It's just another $5M. We see it all the time. But it's five millions dollars. Imagine what a competent small game dev team could do with that. Like Hello Games, who probably built No Man's Sky for a similar amount. Then imagine what CIG will do with it.🗑️

Do you have any idea how much a decent yacht costs? Them millions is just bar stocking change for a decent yacht!

5 more millions to urinate away. They still need to figure out the very basics - like what database structure to use. All the while the bloated running costs keep ticking - even when they just bumble aimlessly around.

I was just watching a documentary about the KLF, and of course, they brought up how people were angry when they burned 1 million pounds. People said they could have given the money to charity or some other worthy cause.

But CIG have burned over 500 million dollars and people are fine with it. Imagine what could have been done with all that money instead of giving it to Chris and family.

Other times, today people insist that it is their personal freedom and birthright to give their money to fraudsters.

EDIT: SPOO rules remembered. Bless my teacher - she was really good.

Come on now you're assuming Chris Roberts even get to spend it on yacht, I have no doubt handbag funds takes priority.

But its for the greater good. Think of all the jobs the Roberts are supporting. Their nanny, their daughter's Chinese teacher, house keeping, agents to book casting for Sandi, hotel staff, tech guys to fix the computer for Chris and eventually college of their choice. So many jobs benefit from Star Citizen.

Yes, so many. Around 1 000 jobs benefit from SC.
