Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

It wouldn’t be a problem for Chris if he could not do it because of bugs, but certainly am issue for the people who told him it was ready to go.

Especially if they told him was ready do demonstrate live.

Go/n*-go meeting :
Chris: is feature x ready?
Dev1: actually n-
Chris: you're fired!
Dev2: well er... Yes I think
Chris: awesome! Lando, you and your team make your magic and hype the world!

This comment makes me facepalm: Chris either perfectly knows how broken the Mess is but doesn't care because he perfectly knows the cash will continue to flow whatever polished turd they release, or doesn't care period.

Spectrum is a lot of fun at the moment.

My yardstick is to ask myself "Would it be appropriate for me to say this to a server at a restaurant if I wasn't satisfied?"

Well, if the waiter promised me the best meal ever and charged me a huge sum for it, but then turned up with a turd on a plate, i think i might have some ripe words for them.

Top comment is perhaps the most appropriate

"First time?"

Anyone who hasn't learned by now CIG's modus operandi is never going to learn.

But this one is funny

We're making too much noise like the roadmap updates of the past!

Roadmap issue...

What, you don't think it's reasonable that the annual Planning Month has now entered its 16th week?

:D

Hilarious. Is the game where I can buy in-game stuff (including credits) for real world money that directly impacts gameplay pay to win? Ooooh, let me think about that.

And of course, people saying its not P2W because of the usual dumb arguments like "there is no winning in SC" or only considering PvP as a form of winning, refusing to acknowledge the wider ramifications of P2W

And so many threads with people telling others to stop complaining.

Having to sell the tickets so early may indicate that they need that money upfront to secure the venue and expenses. Also, the tickets are non-refundable. according to the FAQ. Insert No Refunds Bernie meme..

Think the early sale is just in line with their other mad dash for sales at the moment. So probably more related to wage liquidity, or war chest building for launch marketing / potential-Calders-payback etc. Whatever the bigger picture is that's driving all that.

The tickets have always been 'refund for creds only', AFAIK. (They were same last year at any rate).

And if simple, basic driving physics are still broken after all these years, imagine how the rest of the game physics, physic grids etc must be. Thing is driving physics are just the tip of the iceberg, and the representation of how borked the overall game is.

So you're saying that the money they need from tickets to fund the con might be gone before it's time to get it going? ;)

I don't know if it's different but the FAQ says no refunds at all, no mention of getting in game credit.

Anything to do with ground vehicles, hand-to-hand combat, farming, bartending, changing bedsheets or stock markets are a complete waste of resources for a SPACE FLIGHT game in development that hasn't gotten the SPACE FLIGHT portion sorted out yet.

Doubly so if you are still in development after over a decade!

I'll tell you, when I play a space flight game, the ground vehicle physics are of the UTMOST importance to me.

Personally, when I play a space game, I expect both the space flight physics and the ground vehicle physics to be at least decent. It’s amaaing that a tiny development studio like Keen, with percent of CIG’s budget, can accomplish both tasks, but the Wastrel Roberts cannot achieve either.

New in-game ship prices, as per 3.23 in Wave 2 EPTU
