Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

Definitely seems to be a thing...

Stations and moons not having collision and all qt matkers except home planet launching you off at near quantum speeds outside qt mode... Check out the space tomato stream from today for exactly the same issues I was seeing...
Makes for great cinematic shots, but can't land anywhere...

It's amazing. He's literally just spent ten minutes struggling to get out of his hab, and then waiting because trains are just janking straight past, and he just squints his eyes up and goes off on an 'open door' 'AAA production' endorsement soliloquy 😁

SC, delivering much hilarity from a literal and figurative train-wreck.

And it's a snip at $750M, bringing us the 'Interminable Loading-Screen Game', where every second will be spent imagining the fun you could be having. Elsewhere.

...like maybe cutting the lawn, or filing your nails... or... erm... doing on-line grocery shopping...... or waiting for a (real) train... YMMV...

...Or trying to order a new computer desk from anywhere in the world that will actually deliver it to a remote island in the north sea...basically, that's about as likely as Ci~G delivering a game.

Even the mighty Amazon can't find a courier that will do it...It took them over a month to deliver a gaming chair from deepest Derbyshire. I could have skinned one of our cows, crafted a chair out of the bones and covered it myself quicker than that.

It looks like I'll have to build a new PC desk out of driftwood and whale bones scavenged from the beach at this rate... 😐

The Lord of Bones...it certainly has that north of the wall, Game of Thrones ring to it
There's a title with no possible room for any innuendo...

Between that and the 3D printer you'd be a pretty popular guy on that island. 😛

OK, be honest - did you snag some of the whaly bones for personal use?
I've got a rather large grave pit with half a dozen decomposing whales in the bottom corner of the south field...give it a year or so and I'm sure I can get the dremel out and fashion some fancy scrimshaw ornaments to sell to the tourists.

A few of us had a discussion in the island shop t'other day predicting that in a few hundred years, some archeologist will dig a dozen or so random holes all over the island and imagine some weird pagan blood rituals went on up here :)

Could you bury a 3D print of an Idris too.....?

It might add some spice for the 2124+ conspiracy theorists (and those still awaiting 4.0 and the move to beta)....

So I ground through that list of the 685 staff / contractors who've been on camera.

Some hot takes:

Leavers: 316 of 685 = 46%
Senior CIG/Turb with under 3yrs Tenure: 73 of 159 = 46%
Senior CIG/Turb with under 2yrs Tenure: 39 of 159 = 25%

---

All CIG-Turb Leavers by Departure Year:

Need to adjust this by staffing levels per year really. More digging :/. The 2022 spike is interesting though.

Need to do this properly by month, but the tenure year column produces this:
