CIG is just bulldozing their promotion campaign plans no matter what, and especially irrespective of the broken state of the actual product and the complete disconnect between their promotion material and reality.

This only ends when someone takes action for misleading or false advertising.

It doesn't matter if it was there or not when none of the underlying physics work over the entire project. You can't play a game of anything when every and all interactions with anything, from mission content, ships, player UI, flight mechanics, interactions with NPC's to individual objects all inevitably result in the game engine catastrophically breaking just through interacting with it.

Star citizen is a collection of disparate and individual proof of concept tech demos that will never function as a complete playable entity in any form, it can't, because the base core Franken-engine...besides never having been fit for it's falsely advertised purpose... is broken, way beyond fixing with attractive or technical sounding gaffer tape solutions...but then again, it doesn't have to...star citizen is a marketing platform. A very clever but broken marketing platform all built around the concept of selling dreams... and still to this day, as broken as it is, continues to be a very successful one.

I get captured by the ever elusive dream every time I play...As a gamer and a fan of space games, I want it to work, to see some fleeting reality of it in the bits that don't immediately break when I interact with them. As a fairly savvy businessman, I know I've sipped at the Koolaid and been sold nothing more than a few bottles of snake oil...but even that doesn't stop me from dreaming every time I walk up that ramp onto my soon to be exploding ship :)

Well, a cynical man (not me) might say this smells like desperation (along with the recent Nigerian Prince letters) but their funding chart totally proves otherwise. ;)

It's why I don't post in the Star Citizen subreddit anymore. I'm a member of the refund forum, and the Star Citizen people will follow your posting history all the way down to see if you're a member or if you've ever posted there, because you can't be a non-believer. Non-believers get banished to the outer realm, even if what they're saying is 100% true.

Things not to do in 3.24 LIVE​

These are all things I have tried that do not work, or break the game for some reason.
1.) Crash your ship -> Quit game. It may render your ships unretrievable. Like all of them, until you do a character reset.
2.) Try to use the new Freight Elevators. if you put long arms, ship weapons, missiles, handguns, drinks/food, medpens, etc on the elevator theres a high probability that it will fail. Ive lost one of the elevators in my PH because it still loading all of the guns onto the elevator.
3.) Try to do the new Hauling Mission. Boxes never spawn, I even tried buying my own SCU Boxes of Corundrum, but it wouldn’t take.
4.) Try to do bunker missions. Because of the new looting system it’s basically required to bring 3x 1 SCU Boxes in order to grab everything that is available (Armor, Weapons, Ammo, Medical, etc…)
5.) Unload Ship Weapons you have managed to acquire post bounty missions. Once with the Constellation Taurus, I was using the tractor beam to take my stuff off the ship and bring it to the Cargo Elevator, and the geometry bugged out, leading to an explosion. Then, I had a similar experience unloading the Andromeda by hand.
To sum things up, I adore the direction this game is going and I cannot wait to see this addition with a bit more refinement. For the moment, I will be continuing to play this game.

To sum things up, I adore the direction this game is going and I cannot wait to see this addition with a bit more refinement. For the moment, I will be continuing to play this game.

The direction is going nowhere, its a buggy mess, there will be no refinement, just (possibly) bug fixes, and they are still going to continue playing the game despite it being utterly broken, by their own admission and testing.

There is no helping some people.

The Hull series falling apart with each 'cargo patch' is pretty chef's kiss.

(The 'F traps you in bed' comes a close second though ;))
