As mike said on stream couple of days ago.. most people on the Evocati are just complete idiots , like how does he not know that you can just recopy account to fix these kinds of issues, its been 10 years....
You'd think that they would invite people that actually know the game but really they seem to be inviting streamers and the whales
8 years of evocati, they were formed in 2016. There's a couple of evocati members past and present on this very forum believe it or not
Being a part of evocati used to give a sense of achievement and purpose in the early years when it was taken seriously by a few who genuinely believed what they were doing was helping, not only the development, but ultimately the folk who were going to be playing what you had rigorously tested when the patches went live. After a few years fighting through broken build after broken build, downloading broken client after broken client sometimes 2 or 3 times a day in the old days... then gradually seeing most of the bugs you dug out being ignored then persisting through PTU phases and then on to live as Ci~G's marketing snakes increasingly kept pushing still broken builds because of marketing event deadlines, it kinda puts what you
think you're achieving there into perspective.
Sometimes...only sometimes, you get to feel a small tinge of achievement if it goes well through EPTU...at the end of the day, it's not like evocati are paid, rewarded or even appreciated for their time and effort, besides a cursory nod or two from the devs we were trying to help..
It's not fun or any sort of privilege... or even as most folk wrongly assume, just a way to get an early sneak peek into upcoming features in the game by volunteering and sacrificing your time (and effort) testing EPTU builds. You can't buy your way in there, you have to earn, and continually justify your inclusion if you want it. It's tedious, soul destroying and can be entirely tiresome, believe me. The early client builds evocati are testing are by a level of magnitude far more horrendously broken and way less functional than the consequent PTU or live patches. Over time, it can burn you out on the whole idea of playing star citizen socially or for pleasure after you've been doing it for a few years. By the time the patches make it through to live, most days you can't even be bothered firing the game up.
