It does say "Special Upgrade Offer"
It didn't specify what they'd upgraded

'Special upgrade offer' is just Ci~G's marketing term for CCU'ing from something else...the Polaris doesn't have any variants.

What this unannounced (but not entirely unexpected) $225 overnight price hike/cash grab has done is effectively taken out the minimal spend CCU chain for all the likely candidates...Carrack, A2, Hammerhead etc... meaning all those hopefuls who would have likely CCU'd, now either suck up the full warbond cash price or spend at least $200 to upgrade their Carrack etc for a new shiny Polaris. Another serious miscalculation from the marketing snakes... I suspect that this one will blow up in their faces.

I don't mind...it just means my $30 store credit CCU from the Odyssey jpeg some months ago just gained some serious resale value on the grey market

The spectrum mods will have been instructed to quosh any overt complaining about the blatant cash grab and killing off of the expected CCU chain for as long as possible during this sale period...although the futility of this totally beggars belief. Do the Ci~G marketing snakes think we all live in a vacuum?

This reminds me, let´s play a little game. Every time someone in a SC discussion uses the word "alpha" just simply replace it in your mind with "bad broken game" and see how it goes

That reminds me of a brilliant web extension I once installed that changed every instance of "the cloud" to "my butt".

Polaris hangar repair/rearm/refuel?​

So a few people have pointed out now that in the polaris Q&A it says "Currently, there are no plans to allow this outside of manually repairing, refueling, and restocking missiles." I honestly find that a bit surprising, as the pledge store still shows that the polaris hangar includes the facilities that can repair/rearm/refuel a fighter or light bomber.

This is a pretty crucial element of the ship and especially are no small element of the pledge store description, so it would be great if CIG could clarify if plans have changed or if the pledge store is considered out of date with current plans

Happy 11th Birthday to my .JPEG Since I bought it I've served an entire enlistment in the USMC. Had several jobs and been in a career for 7+ years, got married, had my first child, been to Citcon twice, bought a home and I STILL want to know Mr. Roberts... Where the flip is my ship?​
