Honestly I think a determined guy coulda KS'd their own space game, built an engine and released a game by now.
I think competent would be a better word. Roberts has always been determined after all.Honestly I think a determined guy coulda KS'd their own space game, built an engine and released a game by now.
Mole called it right and I was wrong - Polaris didn't make for a bumper whaling. Better than the previous day (Alien stuff), but no game changer. Still $17M behind last November with 4 days to go - that means averaging $4.5M / day from nowPolaris should start tomorrow, will be interesting to see if Mole is right, or if the fact it is flyable gets new whales paying.
This was the RSI day? Correct me if I am wrong but last years IAE top seller day was the RSI day at around 4-5 million I believe. Does this mean this year’s RSI day sales is less than half than last years RSI day?Mole called it right and I was wrong - Polaris didn't make for a bumper whaling. I know personally of half a dozen Carrack or Hammerhead owners who had planned to nab the Polaris as a cash CCU...They all closed their wallets with a resounding snap when Ci~G dumped the $225 stealth tax onto the original $750 price tag.Mole called it right and I was wrong - Polaris didn't make for a bumper whaling. What's the betting that IAE will be extended or another end of year snap ship sale will be announced...for reasons...a nun's birthday in Rome or something equally ridiculous...with a surprise release to flyable of something that wasn't really planned or previously refuted as being available for general sale...F8 Lightning or something else rushed to the table perhaps?![]()
I think CIG are more likely to be dealing with downI.for reasons...a nun's birthday in Rome
The Polaris should have been the big ticket seller...it's a very attractive ship overall...It even looks and feels like a proper Frigate. It's also the first military based capital class ship as far as I can recall. I kinda like it at any rate, it's got a few nice design touches in there like the side opening ramps into the cargo bay and has a decent sized hangar unlike the Carrack...Oooh, that's a bet i wouldn't take.
I am seeing a ton of critical posts about the Polaris, design, features, gameplay etc. If you pile on with all the recent ninja price hikes and other broken promises etc I am not surprised the Polaris sale has tanked...F8 Lightning or something else rushed to the table perhaps?![]()
Looks like it, (assuming there's no more silly price hikes of course) nothing else has sold in great numbers this IAE, as far as I can tell. But as sales figures go for Ci~G, certainly not enough to artificially boost the funding tracker to record levels thus far at any rate...I haven't even visited the IAE to be fair (no interest, won't be spending) so I haven't really been paying much attention outside of reading all the gripes and moans posts.I am seeing a ton of critical posts about the Polaris, design, features, gameplay etc. If you pile on with all the recent ninja price hikes and other broken promises etc I am not surprised the Polaris sale has tanked.
Now one of the IAE days where CIG can potentially recover a bit would be precisely the Anvil day, with all the hornets and super hornets and F8 things etc, no?
Former employer is letting a lot of staff go over the last two days with zero compensation right after working them to the bone without even so much as a thanks.
A lot of jobs going abroad to cheaper labour markets.
Expect a formal announcement "soon"
Or so say my sources. <3
Ohh more "excitement" from the land of CIG.
Very upset staff right after a big old grind. Sources giving me a LOT of drama.
I am VERY upset at what I'm hearing.

Getting a constant trickle of info of people being let go by my former employer.
A lot of upset DMs that they’re being treated like this right after a horrible crunch.

If they have finally broken the ship buyers, CIG is screwed beyond hope.I am seeing a ton of critical posts about the Polaris, design, features, gameplay etc. If you pile on with all the recent ninja price hikes and other broken promises etc I am not surprised the Polaris sale has tanked.

Chris resents the idea of using AI to complete SC, because it would be the first time any kind of intelligence was involved in the development process.Just throwing this out there. Who even needs "cheaper labour markets" when everything can be done/ruined by AI?
Chris is always ahead of the game.
