Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

Um, "interesting" that the post is ban worthy, but the thread is still open and no mention/warning that the OP received punishment.

And he was banned.

Speculation is that the mods were too late to delete/lock the thread and it gained too much traction, so locking/deleting would be viewed negatively, so silently banning the user was the way to silence him and hope the thread would lose traction.

The moderation on Spectrum is abysmal and CIG must at least tactically approve of this sort of censorship.

Anything that might harm funding must be stamped down on hard.

And the guy is in for 13,000 dollary-dos! Even whales are not immune to bans if they criticize CIG... Mole knows all about that though ;)

LOL @sovapid - just seen your post.

thank you for your sacrifice, citizen.

Someone else has already picked up on the OP being banned as well.

It's a real shame that the original poster was banned from the Forum for 24 hours, for writing the original post. I think what he wrote was very fair. Perhaps he got a bit too close to home for the Moderators liking.

Hah, one of the replies

If you have lost your trust then yea, don't add a dime and just take a long break and see if you were right to be concerned in a few years, ok?

And in a few years? We saw the same sort of posts a few years ago. I'm sure if this thing is still going in a few years, someone will post something very similar.

I haven't realized that SQ42 had dancing!
Best Damn Space Sim Ever!

I'm struggling to see how dancing and arcade machine use will benefit SQ42....

Oh, i'll just take a break from this epic story to dance and then play some arcade machines.

I have an arcade in GTA and regularly go to the casino for the daily wheel spin and to do casino missions. I don't play the games though (although i know some people do).

The only time i dance is on the casino heist mission which requires you to blend in at a party by dancing.

Also, i wonder if CIG are aware that if they put any gambling machines in they will have to disable them for most US states.

Some are really out of touch with reality... The replier didn't think the refunder did "take a long break for few years and saw now he was right to be concerned", did he? Oh yeah... He probably thinks development started just yesteryear so...

Someone not happy streamers/content creators get access to ships before those who purchased them

And another

and another

And another take...

Think NPCs and learning back story my interactions with them in the Mess

Ala Wing Commander

That is what they will be going for

You know the in between mission down time where youd talk to Paladin or Angel or Maniac or the Bartender to learn history or back story or tips

That but CR SC turned up to 11

The Mercury Star Runner (MSR) is tested atm by evocati.

It's the first ship to introduce hidden mechanics (hidden traps & buttons).
First ship with the new sensor switch mechanic :

Also, it come with the first fully functional mini-game, the chess board is fully playable. Dev talked a long time ago that the verse will have several minigames in it.

The video show also some smuggler parts of the ship but the author have miss half of them. I will give more details when I will find a more appropriate video.
I have to find a video showing the activation of a hidden trap by moving the white queen of chess board on a specific place near the sink.

Oh god. Just lol at that first bit.

'Here's the scanning room. Forgot to show you this. It doesn't do anything at the moment.'

Giving me big nostalgia for past ship tours 😄

I'd say it's a bit of a stretch to call chess assets a 'mini game', but ok, if you like. The use of the Queen to open the smuggling section is cute. But again, that'd be about the closest thing to a novel 'mechanic' there. I think you may have used the wrong word? Until they've got some kind of AI scanning / onboard search mechanic that distinguishes between 'stuff in ship' & 'stuff in Top Secret Section'... it's just more assets ;). As far as I'm aware there's no distinction at the moment. It's more like a roleplay den right now.

I see the MSR joy has been palpable on Reddit though ;)

In the current alpha, the police's ships can only scan visible cargo. All secrets rooms are hidden to them. If you transport illegal stuff, those secrets room are really useful.
