Relevant question IS THERE really ANY SQ42 even as current dev version?
There is evidence of cutscene(s), assets, and mo-cap. What more could you want in a game?

It's unfortunate they paid all that cash for Hollyweird actors early on as performance capture has massively progressed since 2012. If those recordings ever see the light of day, Jank Skywalker is going to be compared poorly to Norman Reedus taking a tinkle*. Although maybe people will overlook that due to it being a last performance.

* The forum censorship here really needs revised, "p**s" being censored is a meme when Odyssey has NPCs throwing around the four letter Fs. What would happen if I posted a screenshot of Odyssey on Odyssey's forum I wonder, a ban for language?

Remember five years ago when they integrated that face webcam tech stuff that they bought in from some third party partner? Remember how all the naysayers said it would probably be a gimmick that next to nobody used and was being added at a completely inappropriate time when the last thing you really wanted to add was more non essential network data to synchronise between clients and it would just increasetheir expanding tech debt and add to the extensive "alpha" development time and lack of robust release?

Really glad they proved everyone wrong and revolutionised the industry with such a valuable addition that no game should be without and have nothing to learn from their mistakes.
 
I mean, I could understand many reasons to switch games, but terrain tiling? In Elite at least the events you could encounter accidentally get overwhelmingly diluted within the billions of planets that have no issues. In SC there is no way to escape from the tiling, stuck within a handful of planets.

Uh, to be fair to SC, these pics could have been taken straight from ED Odyssey where every landable planet is made up of repeating terrain tiles. So in Odyssey there's also 'no way to escape from the tiling'. But don't take my word for it, FDev already confirmed this.
