Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

I thought the more interesting bit was the grey market reflecting lowered confidence in the project. But you do you ;)
(If you have ~$15k of ships to shift I'd recommend doing it in bulk though. You can get ~65% back that way...)
Lol. You are one of the guy asking here for more transparency from CIG, an external audit of the funding track and saying that the funding tracker can't be trusted but you use a Grey market info posted on reddit by a friend of a friend's cousin because the numbers please you ? Beautiful double standard

Unable to meet your crowdfunding obligations after ten years or more?
Bad press and media due to your increasingly poor reputation and failure to deliver?
Worried that new "revenue streams" are increasingly aware of previous failed promises.
Worried about having to be accountable?

...Try China it's like starting again and just forgetting about all that stuff you said.

Always love it.

90 days top !

i cant believe how dumb people are....

not using a burner reddit account to sell an account is up there on the dum dum list.

8k in a year is also pretty impressive.

You shouldnt ever buy off the grey market. Plenty of reasons grey market can be suffering that doesnt involve people buy less ships.

Sure, I think CIG should make good on their original ToS assurance:

  • CIG agrees to use its good faith business efforts to deliver to you the pledge items and the Game on or before the estimated delivery date... Accordingly, you agree that any unearned portion of the deposit shall not be refundable until and unless CIG has not delivered the pledge items and/or the Game to you within 12 months after the estimated delivery date.
  • ...In the unlikely event that CIG is not able to deliver the Game, CIG agrees to post an audited cost accounting on its website to fully explain the use of the deposits for the Game Cost...

IE that they'd release fully audited accounts of how backers' money had been spent if they missed the 2014 deadline by over a year. They are somewhat overdue on that front ¯\(ツ)/¯

And sure the funding tracker is essentially a marketing tool, and could easily be errant or manipulated. Nothing controversial there.

But no, none of this has anything to do with whether a grey market can signal whale sentiment in the round. (Although you can go and watch all the various 'friend's cousins' verifying sales and such, if that makes you feel better? It's quite the bustling family get-together...)

I guess I will leave you now to whatever knee-jerk deflection you come up with next ¯\(ツ)/¯

Nonsense, now is the time to buy ;)

(Or to sell your rare BMM ;)).

(But selling-wise, 65% returns for bulk trades, even of generic ships, is still pretty meh even for SC_trades. Not massively out of whack for the 50-75% norms of recent years, but still fairly tepid. The Impound being in lockdown for a while, and offering 50% at best, is intriguing though ¯\(ツ)/¯ )

You know things are bad when supershill Boo Huxley is depressed about the project
Who cares. Once they burn out the Bunny Man takes care of them and marketing will fish another couple gullible influencer types so the toxic sales pitches can go on and on.

What I immediately like about this, that it is not symmetrical like in Elite. I always thought it is very cheesy and lazy to do it that way (just mirror the wear and teat on both sides of the ship, very unrealistic, even ridiculous tbh).

Yeah, it starts to go around edges and seems, it grows from there, gradually, as you see it there is about as bad as it gets. I like the look.

Huh, I always pronounce it "ponzee" - it's "o" not "a" and I thought only russian throws "o" and "a" in one pot.

The leaks discord, summarized from an SC forum:

Some HK Bar Citizen info, summarized from https://forums.starcitizenbase.com/topic/24747-notes-from-hk-bar-citizen-2023/
  • SQ42 being removed from the store is not an indicator of its release timing nor any development milestone.
  • CIG is excited to see how Starfield performs and doesn’t see any issue with competition.
  • 3.20 wipe will likely happen only if duplication mechanics have been fixed.
  • CIG is aware of most duping bugs and is trying to fix them.
  • Hull-C release will provide information on server performance with bigger ships, but there is a low likelihood of any big ships coming out after 3.20 this year. However, there was a statement made in passing about "...wishing to see something big like the Pioneer coming out this year..." and the comment was made "You really should come to CitizenCon this year, I think you'd be happy."
  • AI crew/blades for simple tasks will not likely be in game until there is more stability.
  • Salvage mechanics for breaking bigger pieces into smaller pieces are still being thought up.
  • AI Systems like ChatGPT won’t be used in the game because of proprietary reasons.
  • Base building will be more like Fallout 4’s pre-fab house system and is very important to CIG, but won’t be coming out until likely around Nyx.
  • Different systems will have different themes and will reflect both the theme and when they were created.
  • Pyro still needs server meshing.
  • Smaller side-missions will be given at some point once there’s more stability and meshing.
  • UGF missions could eventually have multiple parts, but there is no time frame for implementation.
  • Art aesthetics for different cities are inspired by their in-game lore and current-day Earth.
  • CIG wants to get server meshing figured out before rolling in new systems, with Pyro and Nyx being priorities.
  • Land beacons that are owned can be sold in-game, but players cannot claim land themselves and sell it officially to others.
  • There will not be player ownership of stations in-game, but players can control them.
  • Player housing and ownership will be a thing, but it’s expected to be instanced. You could have any number of people actually owning "Flat 23 B" in a hab tower. Players will also be able to own multiple housing units around the 'verse.
  • TOW assets aren’t coming into Arena Commander and ToW is shelved.
  • 600i rework is still being considered but it’s not a priority.
  • CIG doesn’t have a projection on how the Hull-C will affect the economy yet.
  • CIG realizes the mess with the updated Cutlass price and promises to advertise any future price increases on Spectrum.
