Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

Noticed that the 2 Hercs have been given another cargo buff in the latest PTU patch. C2 is up from 696 scu to 708...M2 is up from 522 scu to 539 :)

Liking the new built in mobiglas commodity trading app. It just alerts to supply and demand for the moment...timings and profit margins are a bit low to be properly useful as it is for those like me who enjoy longer distance bulk hauling...but at least it works and could be a way forward from using 3rd party apps. It might be a handy tool once it's more functional...with Ci¬G though, usual disclaimers apply. It also stands to reason that it'll be a handy tool for wannabe space pirates or griefers...just pop open mobiglas to find out where all the haulers are going :)

I don't know where that came from originally but Area 18 is still in the menu.

They removed the Social Module years ago, which was Area 18, but area 18 is now in the game, on ArcCorp so there was no need for it anymore.

Ah, that must be like how they removed Star Marine from the menu when CR said there was no need for it as a separate module, as it was already in game :D

Just ventured up to New Babbage to have a cursory look around the expo. That curiosity lasted a whole 5 minutes before I decided to head back to somewhere the frame rates weren't in single digits...it's a slideshow up there, didn't even get out of the spaceport before I gave up :cautious:

You obviously need to install it on a SSD and upgrade your potato computer. Its not SC's fault, its yours.

Am i doing it right?

Not nearly patronising enough...you have to mention that I have the nerve to complain about playing on what is merely a test server and that if I'd been around half as long as you have, I'd know something about game development :D (*)

(*) Excerpt from a discussion last night in game chat with some child of Star Citizen who thought himself a veteran by being there for 3 years. I suggested by way of reply that I had complementary Chris Roberts monogrammed gold budgie smugglers older than that :)

Testing the elasticity of demand, CIG is.

And to think I only have 2 of those ships...(top and bottom) They've hiked the prices on the C2 and M2 by about $80 since I CCU'd some other jpegs for them, A2 is a tad cheaper by about the same amount. It was either $720 or $780...can't remember. Go buy one sharpish before they hike the prices again!

Of course, you don't want to be a space peasant flying a 400 dollar transport. You want some defense on that, and for just another 120 dollars you can have it! A bargain! But wait, if you're going for that, why not pay another 180 dollars on top for the real version, the one that really punches above its weight! 700 dollary doos will ensure your peers take you seriously and know you are a commando of worth!

it was supposed to be the main hub mode that allow players to access the entirety of the game, hilariously pathetic that they can't even deliver that.
Yep it was available to purchase in several flavors and sizes (petty, standard, luxury...) and I thought the idea was whatever the place you'd land on in the PU you would disembark in a hangar of the flavor level you picked.

But looks like people paid for nothing more than an useless broken vanity showroom and the features had joined the growing list of canned half baked ones under the carpet. I'm sooo surprised /s

I can't wait to carpet bomb some cheapskate $400 transport peasants into smouldering ash with my $700 uberbomberblingbarge as they park up at Bezdek to load up with Laranite. I'm almost overjoyed at the mere thought of it :D (*)

(*)Actual reality may vastly overwhelm dreams.txt

The hangars were/are free with ship purchases...you buy a ship, you get a complementary hangar to stick it in. Quality, size etc was tied to the perceived value of the ship. Lower tech and rather tatty industrial hangars were for the Cutty Blacks etc...or that was the theory at least. I haven't been in any of my hangars since the hangar module back in 2015...they don't work and never have since then :)
