Since Mrs Mole is recovering, I won't trouble you much more with such personal anecdotes...bar the one from today which almost broke my heart. During a lengthy conversation with her doctor in hospital today when he went on about my wife's sheer strength and will to live...7 major operations, 3 heart attacks and 5 resuscitation's during theatre, she said something that had both myself and the medical professionals in tears.

"I sat by his bed for a year after the army almost delivered him back to me in a body bag. I watched him die twice during that time. I wasn't about to put him through watching me do the same."

You can love someone so much sometimes that it hurts...the strength of that woman has me in awe.

I'm off for some much needed sleep...Mole out. :)

I think it is fair to say that beats any crappy discussions about videogames any day of the year 😋 .

It took me 3 years to get up to $300 or so dollars on Star Citizen, because the store is kind of like a mini-game in its own right. A melt here, a CCU there, and suddenly you've put $300+ into a game for which you only meant to get the $45 starter package. I haven't spent another penny because I don't really have that kind of money to spare, but it happens so deceptively quickly, too.

If a backer melts a ship and no one is around to see it, does the pledge counter count the next purchase as full priced?

That was an interesting exercise, copying the info out of FD's store, cleaning the data, getting rid of incomplete orders, converting currencies, removing the game cost, and planet coaster, etc.

I think i've got it fairly accurate though, cosmetics and ARX purchases. At today's conversion rate it comes to approx 300 pounds sterling.

Not that surprising. I've bough paintjobs, ship kits, voices, fleet carrier stuff, decals, outfits... well, basically something of everything. At least 1 paintjob for every ship in the game as well as SRVs and SLFs.

Heh, actually, a bit less than i feared ;)

The stations in SC automatically know you are a bad guy, unlike ED where you have to get scanned. So the SC stations start shoot right away and occasionally npc ships show up. SC stations generally cant hit anything if you keep moving evasively and quickly. Will occasionally get a lucky shot on you though.

You are im a ton more danger if a station in ED start shooting at you. In elite that is a "leave as fast as possible" type thing. In SC it is not that concerning.

Got all kinds of ships. If I see something I want, I buy it. Haven't really seen anything I want lately. Especially with buying ships in game being a thing. I've bought quite a few ships in game on the alt.
