No, is not. But is a valid “gameplay” loop given the “pvp sandbox” nature of SC. Isi a product of “emerging gamplay” style… and, as me, you might not like it but you better get used to the idea of being ganked

You're not wrong, the 'EDO is broken so SC is great' exodus is hilarious, and utter nonsense.
It's more "EDO is broken, where can I go ? I will try SC just to see -hours later- It is not as bad as what some says about it on the ED forum, some bugs but playable -hours later- In fact it is pretty enjoyable"

Maybe they just "got bored walking down the length of the ship" so perhaps giving them ship exteriors was a mistake

Why don't they just post their EDO grievances on this forum, its what its for no?
And some will SC and say "Oh my gods, its worse than people said!"
A lot depends on what you are willing to accept and a lot might just depend on when you log onto the game, server stability, or if there are any griefers around.
Take for example GTA Online. First time logged into it, i was killed while i was still spawning. Spawned again, boom, dead upon spawn. I quit and didn't return to the game for many months.
And then there are the gameplay loops, or lack of them. For all Odyssey's faults ED still has many gameplay loops and lots of missions, places to go, etc. For some, moving from that to a game with few loops and limited locations will be a turn off.
You seem to assume the moment someone tries SC they will enjoy it. Some will, some won't, even if the performance is good and they don't encounter many bugs.
Or some will initially enjoy it, until the bugs start to wear them down. We've seen streamers like SaltEMike and many others reach the point of tearing their hair out on many occasions due to bugs, and those guys really have to keep going, because its in their interest. Someone who isn't so invested might just quit if they reach that point.
Perhaps the game isn't as bad as some make out, but there again, neither is Odyssey. But its not all sunshine and dasies, like some others like to make out.

No, it's perfectly normal to not like SC or don't want to experience bugs with some of them gamebreaking.
But for some here (not you), it seems it's impossible to really like SC in its current state and that every ED player enjoying SC more than EDO is just faking it. It's simply not true.
What is faster ? She has released it's "day 6 video" and keep going...She'll be back faster than you can spell "Thargoid".

Just focusing on EDO foot stuff though, there are some pretty obvious ones:
- A ton of stealth mechanics and related mission types. [Cloning NPC IDs to bypass nested security zones, turning off alarms to allow industrial processes to be contaminated etc etc]
- Combat versus NPCs that's pretty reliable. [With a modest spread of associated missions. Assassinations in an occupied settlement stand out as a novelty. (And tweaks like jump-pack verticality and the shield meta. We could argue over whether the last is something SC wants , but it's a system with some depth and repercussions.)]
- A 'loot and craft' system. [Including the arc cutter tool for scavenging and break-ins etc]
- Settlements generally as 'living locations' to be infiltrated or razed, or abandoned variants to be ransacked, restored or fought over. [The 'de-power' and 're-power' gameplay mechanic is notable here].
- Combat zones where you can pick a side between two warring NPC groups.
Could definitely make a case for SC having more weapon loadouts and options etc generally, but think it helps to have mainly reliable PvE opponents to use them on

And for views,numbers dropped for Elite videos so a new source of revenue. It's their comments about SC,how they get regular dev vids and updates on what they're working on and where they're going and road maps! When they know as well as anyone,they are just words.
