I'm confused by all the changing around. Does it now mean you have 2 ROCs? Why do you need 2?
I had a ROC that I replaced an Ursa rover in one of my game packages with store credit...CCU'd that for a ROC-DS for some reason, but since you can't melt or sell individual ships or vehicles once they're part of a package, it left me with the more than useless ROC-DS. If you're mining solo, the ROC-DS being a multicrew variant means a lot of faffing about jumping in and out of it...it has 4 times the capacity of a basic ROC but it's only useful if there's 2 of you.
After the wipe...I'll be off ROC mining initially to earn some pennies, I needed the basic ROC. I could just buy one in game with aUEC like I did previously, I have enough starting credits to do that...but I'd have to sacrifice something else, an upgraded QT drive or shields...something important...I'd rather keep my starting aUEC to upgrade at least the Cutty black with decent shields and QT drive etc.
It'll be strange penny pinching in SC since up until the wipe I've always had a few tens of millions aUEC to faff around with, I've been accumulating it since 3.7 and the last wipe...I'm really looking forward to actually having something to work toward again...saving up the pennies for that nice QT drive upgrade, managing fuel & repair costs with profit margins etc. I'd forgotten what that's like. Now...with 3.15 and the chance of losing it all if I die or the ship get's exploded by
@sovapid having a night out with the boys, it adds a little extra spice to the gameplay. I'll be back to mining or hauling in the little known and out of the way places with the smaller, but safer profit margins, watching the radar like a hawk always ready to cut and run to save the ship...awesome
