Were Elon Musk and Chris Roberts separated at birth?

Roberts and Elon are the same.

Q: Someone's going to sit in a Tesla without touching the steering wheel tap in New York off it goes...won't have to ever touch the wheel by the end of 2017?

A: Yeah essentially November or December of this year we should be able to go from yeah all the way from a parking lot in California to a parking lot in New York no controls touched at any point during the entire Journey.

Never trust Elon ( YouTube link )

TwerkEMike doesn't suffer enough so he massage himself some more salt on the wounds by watching an old video

"I miss Cryastro. UI was better. POIs were better. Everything was smoother back then"

SC gets so much better and betterer patch after patch it feels like worse ^^
Yup, I'd agree with Mikey there, 2.6 still seems way better than what we have now...it was kinda fresh and exciting. Everyone around back then would say the same with the same degree of nostalgia.

The ICC missions and Tessa Bannister were the highlights of the best of star citizen...and there were a lot of good things back then, considering we had no landable planets and Stanton was a much smaller place all centered around the singular gas giant, Crusader and it's backdrop of non landable moons. None of the other planets (Hurston, ArcCorp and microTech) or their moons were there. We had Olisar, Grim Hex, SC Kareah and Cryastro services...and exploring POI's around the the Yela asteroid ring. The thing is, I can remember doing a lot more with a lot less. We had no mining, nothing. 🤷‍♂️

The project has never recovered from the year waiting for patch 3.0 which heralded the grand exodus and extensive bout of refunds, it's just lurched glacially from one piece of pointless fluff and nonsense to another since then.

Have CIG ever said officially that they essentially started from scratch with 3.0? (Hence a load of settled features getting lost.)

Because there's loads of scratchy suggestion that that's what happened. (Not least via leaky gossip, natch ;)). And it certainly fits. But I don't think I recall seeing an official statement to that effect.

Everything starts from scratch every few years. This is how fidelity development works. Real development only started last year.

Well Elon on other hand has done some real achievements. Like built up real rocket company, real car company and so on....And his stuff mostly even works.
To be clear, he did not build them up but bought them instead. While he's had some business acumen when getting into Paypal, SpaceX and Tesla (none of which are his creations - he's narcissist who likes to take credit from others), his Twitter takeover is a complete dumpster fire, not unlike a certain project from CiG ;)

If Twitter were publicly traded I would have short sold it the day Elon Musk bought it. How do I know this - I tried to find it on the stock markets and found it's not listed.

Same with CIG. My Xmas wish this year is the same as it has been for the past 10 years. Oh Katamari up in the sky, make Saint Roberts have the greatest idea for raising even more cash by floating CIG on the stock market.

He's majority shareholder. Think of all he could earn. As long as people buy the stock..

Well, he did found SpaceX, even if he then truffled up talent etc. That's the most amusing one when comparing to Chris ;)

(And he got in pretty early on Tesla. But that's just amusing on the futurism pre-orders front ;))
Probably also worth mentioning that Tesla was pretty much a paper company with no product, until they got $7.5mil of funding (out of which Elon's stake was $6.5mil) after which they (with Elon as Chairman) started to develop the Roadster - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla,_Inc.#Founding_(2003–2004)

The only thing he actually built was that vacuum tube trainy thing for a couple of kilometers, and it's now widely accepted the only reason he did that was to tank the California fast train initiative by claiming his system would be better and faster and finished sooner. Oh yes, guess what happened to the test track/tube? Yep, demolished and replaced by a car park. He builds cars, he was never going to build a replacement train system and anyone who actually believed him were fools, but there's a lot of them around, enough to kill any idea of fast train competing with his cars!

Not sure that Ci~G understand what a 'Cutter' is in nautical terms... rather than a Drake 'Cutter'... which conjures up romantic images of privateers scooting around the Carribean with a boat full of looted Spanish gold... this is more like a Drake Rowing boat

But at least this one should have a functional - non-bloated by rule of cool or atavistic poor level design - interior.
