Star Citizen Discussions v7

No. You made the claim; you provide the supporting evidence. So far, you have come up with one non-example.

So "CR doesn't have the talent or organizational abilities to back up his fat mouth" is a non example, sure... I just don't have the time, patience, or reason to reread the mean stuff that was said, and what would be the point, if people care they could search for it. I made the point about that statement and the fact that people agreed with it, instead of criticizing it, and that's easy to notice if you look back.

Correct. That is someone saying that he has a big mouth (not a huge surprise given his history) and that he has no talent or organisational ability (again, history bears that out). It's not hate — it's pointing to a long-established and well-known pattern. In addition, the inference you suggested is more akin to what you'll find in r/ds on the topic of a completely different person.

Well, there is very little he has to back up his claim that he can deliver a game (given enough money) so vast in scope that every Rockstar game appears like Tetris in comparison. Remember, he does claim again and again that he can deliver what no-one has done ever before. He has no record of achieving the impossible. So, calling this a 'big mouth' is not that far fetched, is it?

Citzencon 2017: Presentation from the animators and how it works and how they deal with certain things.
Overall a informative well put presentation of finding a problem and dealing with it. Liked it for what it is a tech presentation without the whole "never done before" ect. Clean and informative.

Then this guy started talking and turning it into hype and hyperbole. It showed everything what SC/CIG stands for.

See, you already agree again with what he said, I don't even have to go back to show other examples. Can't you see that's just a rude statement to be criticized, not commended? If someone would tell you that in your face, would you say thank you and move on? I highly doubt it.

Which is the main problem of ME:A. A pity.

The main problem of ME:A was that they wanted to make a game with procedurally generated planets and space travel in an unflexible engine that was ill-suited to the design, and they were a secondary studio without a full game shipped in their history.

I have no issues when people call out . And 'big mouth' or 'fat mouth', sure not nice, but come on...

And if someone claims to call out my , i bury him under a mountain of evidence. I am a scientist, i love to argue. :p

Gosh, who would try to make PG planets in an ill-suited engine? *thinks*

Yes you do, because what he said was not an example. Consequently, agreeing with it is not an example either.

To clarify: you need to find examples of hate and/or of making some kind of inference between talent and having the right to speak. You have done neither.

Can't you see that's just a rude statement
Reality isn't rude. It's just… well, reality. Pointing to an established pattern isn't rude, it's just empirical evidence. Using the colloquialism “fat mouth” isn't rude, just direct and to the point and evidence of (in this case rather justified) frustration more than anything.

I wouldn't, but as he was quite rude to us with our Elite T-shirts on in Cologne, you will have to forgive me if I am a little off about him.

I actually find that interesting to hear, because back in 2013-2015 when I was still heavily into SC and very active in an org — I always wondered how people would react if I showed up to a convention in a custom Elite Dangerous / Star Citizen fan T-Shirt. (Basically a "space sim fan" shirt)

I guess it would have been a nice way to weed out and avoid the tribalistic people, from the ones just interested in space games.

Well, the "fat mouth" phrase by itself is quite rude, tbh.

I know, I've seen the 2016 presentation. Here are the slides: https://imgur.com/gallery/MV2PM
Well, it was again overly optimistic, but its 2017 and 3.0 is in Evocati, its not such a dramatic lie as you make it out to be. CR obviously wants more and more stuff added in at the last moments, as we know from various news, and that slows down the process quite a bit, adds new bugs, but at least we get there.

You dont honestly believe that CR didn´t know the real state of the 3.0 at CitizenCon 2016???Cmon man...thats HIS GAME.....CR could be many things but he ain´t moron...in reality at Citcon 2016 he was just building the HYPE(as usual) clearly knowing that 3.0 is FAR FAR away from actual release to the backers but he did it anyway just because he was certain that this will boost cash income for him&CIG.....IT WAS PLAIN AND PURPOSED LIE......
