I hear what you're saying, but I don't think it is. I've been very lucky throughtout my career, and at various companies, to work with ex-military people, and the thing that generally singled them out was 'attitude'. Very positive once goals were agreed and set, and unfailing in effort, and if things hadn't worked out then there were reasons, and never excuses....Probably because I know that he most likely thinks much like I do, so it's possibly more a "me" than "them" thing. But still.
I'm not ex-military, but have always felt 'oh yes' when learning someone I was working with was. I also got to work along side (for a while) active service people (I've enjoyed my career) and that was a great experience.
Although, the jury for me is still out with ex-RAF.... (my godfather is ex RN, his brother ex RAF)
