State of the Game

I thought Americans called it Soccer or are you talking about the spandex wonder that is American football?

we only call it soccer because the uk called it that. it stayed soccer because why rename a sport you don't really care about?

and are you really trying to feminize football with Spandex while soccer is known for faking injuries? aren't you supposed to use the padding to do that and compare it to rugby?

I'll be honest with you Ender im not even remotely interested in any sport or those games only Americans play.

:D Some of its really good. Way of the Househusband made me laugh but far too much dross gets through.

they are always good for catch phrases and tropes.

No it isn't. The art is, well, NOT...

(do you want the full half hour or just the five minutes?)
It depends. Some like Dorohedoro is really well done and consistent- Demon Slayer also has kept it going too. What is a bad sign normally is CG cell shading which does my head in and I generally switch off after a few minutes. I think the only cell shading / overlay series I watched without pulling out my eyes was Kengan Ashura.

attack on titan is pretty good. watching that straight thru is the way to go.

bad anime is pretty fun to watch too.

what isn't fun are the shows with episodes that are like 8 min long but with 5 min of recap and a 3 min intro and 5 min of credits and a few min of commercial break cuts where they restart with what you already saw going into the commercial.

TBH, my only anime exposure is via animated video and not from any printed material, which, now that I think about it, might actually be called something else entirely.

Pokemon was about the most I could handle. Though some of the series that were imported in the late 70's early 80's, with a more usual animation flavor, were really good at the time. IE: Star Blazers, Battle of the Planets, G-Force, and Voltron to some extent.

The extreme extremety of the hyperbole is also not something I'm fond of. I get it, I just don't find it as entertaining as it could have been had it been downplayed more than up.
