State of the Game

Check out the SPOILERs on this page of the Russian thread "Comrade, we are going far ..."... (certain "participants" of this thread might be particularly interested in some of these...)

Here is a link to that page, translated to english...

The most interesting thing on that page is:

I'm making inquiries now...

Afternnon all.

My friend has just left, and I'm now the 'owner' of a 'new' Alienware AW3420DW.
First Impressions:-
  • It looks great
  • Its bloody heavy
  • I cant wait to get ED running on it - just installing some drivers and sheite
  • didn't think I'd like a curved screen - but its quickly growing on me
  • I'm like a little kid, and quite excited :)

so is there some ritual I need to perform, or something I have to sacrifice in order for g-sync to work with ED?
I've set the Display Refresh reate to 120, and set Vertical Sync On, and Frame rate limit off.

Is this right - any help mosy welcome - I'm googling as well, but hoped somebody here may have gone through the same process.

But did you knock him down to a price you felt happy to pay? ;)

I think if you right click on desktop and look at Nvidia control panel there’s a gsync section there. Under Display- set up G-sync.

So far, I'm borrowing it to give it a 'trial' run - I think I may have to buy it though - ED looks great
I'm sure I can justify it to myself by using it for work as well.
.
Although I now have the issue, that in station, frame rates have dropped, due to greater resolution (Only getting about 40-50 now), running at 3440x1440.
Time to experiment with Nvidia NIS, AMD FSR etc etc.

Everything is a trade off :)
