perhaps this is fdev's way of saying that the state of the game is now no longer a state that reflects anything about the game. That players are now focused on just acquiring credits and the best engineering stuff just to have it ...and not caring about the narrative or "mysteries" placed in the game at all anymore.
And nothing ever returns from off topic. so they're saying this is terminal. They are saying that the game cannot right itself and is Doomed to circle the drain of mediocre gambling game design and parasitic mechanics with disinterested playerbase and developer who has moved on to other things to care about.

I tried the HOSAC (Hands On Spaghetti and Calculator) control method, as seen in the video above, on a few of my ships, and none of them would respond to it...am I doing something wrong?
