State of the Game

Come on! You know how things work around here - it doesn't have to actually exist for something to be wrong with it!
You're right, I do know how it works, regardless of how it could work better.

Personally, I hope FDev go with telepresence for sitting down - that would generate world class levels of salt.
Why would they (FDev)? Easier to implement?

Ashes update:

England currently 65-8. People were saying we'd be lucky to get a fourth day lol, this will be over by lunch the way it's going.

Edit: Now 65-9. All you can do is laugh really.
Well the third test is over Australia winning by an innings and small change. The Ashes are retained by Australia.

To the English people on these forums I say this sincerely:

I commiserate with you despite our win and I am not gloating.

Yes; England didn't step up but, if it wasn't for the Australian bowling/fielding attack (what is this baseball?) things may have lingered on because the Australian batting side didn't really shine either.

Now we have a two test dead rubber...... the Formula 1 season this year was more exciting.

The hallmark of a true sports fan is to be sporting in defeat and gracious in victory.

Frankly though, you could gloat away after that and I wouldn't have a word to say about it, utterly abject display by England there.

I actually have suspected, particularly in the past decade, that new professional cricketers have forgotten that this in not limited overs cricket and that tests run for days and days.

They need to realise that they should be providing long periods where nothing seems to happen so TV audiences can do, well whatever it is they do, or be bored to tears.

This was just Squid Game with the squid removed.

There must be sponsor and advertisers all over the planet now who are putting guns to their heads because they realise they've bought into two tests whose TV ratings are now post mortem.

Or the cricket pitch at the MCG is actually laid down on................................. sandpaper.

they made a big deal about an armstrong moment but instead of putting players on a ramp to walk down from your ship to a planet they just spawn you on it.

if that's not intentionally setting out to cause tears and salt, then it's hard to imagine what would be intentional

Are you rounding up your disappointment over the last year?

Also, the Armstrong moment everyone whines about was mentioned in like one video and as usual with this community, they hyped it up beyond all recognition.

Even if you could walk down your space stairs and walk on a new planet it would become as exciting as getting off a bus in a location you've never been before once you've done it several dozen times.

Disappointment in a game is perhaps a mask to hide the inadequacies suffered in reality...
Any mature person would abandon a game that was disappointing, surely?
