One more reason to leave it as it is.not even all guys can stay on the feet when firing it standing - she would be blown away by it.
As much as I am for equal RIGHTS, I love when ignoring some obvious differences between men/women backfires(!).

.577 Nitro?just replace the machine gun with a real hunting rifle for the big 5 - not even all guys can stay on their feet when firing it standing - she would be blown away by it.
.577 Nitro?
Full disclosure: Never fired one, but I want to. I also know I'll have a sore shoulder for a week.![]()
absolutely, my weight is 121 lbs, I wouldn't dare to fire it even when laying on the ground, it would very likely break my shoulder. A "normal" rifle like the Ruger american compact rifle with .308 win ammo is fine though, even with my small and light frame. One more reason to leave it as it is.

Most of it is really technique and not so much caliber/grain. I've seen many a full grown hulk of a man wince after firing a relatively puny round simply because he didn't hold it right (I may or may not have been one of thoseabsolutely, my weight is 121 lbs, I wouldn't dare to fire it even when laying on the ground, it would very likely break my shoulder. would love to see a battle royale between two bimbos armed with a hair brush and tooth brush.... might almost make love island watchable...and throw a little "naked and afraid" into the mix and give them as tool selection makeup mirror, lipstick, tooth brush or hair brush to choose from. Well, the mirror could actually be useful, so replace that with a decorative comb.
certainly it does, but a real hunting rifle for big game has a punch which is hard to take when one doesn't have decent muscles to absorb it.Most of it is really technique and not so much caliber/grain. I've seen many a full grown hulk of a man wince after firing a relatively puny round simply because he didn't hold it right (I may or may not have been one of those). But it DOES factor into it.
i was hunting with a 75 lbs vertical bow (spiral horned antelopes, greater kudu) in south africa near the border of botswana. you need vambraces for the left arm because the string will eventually hit the forearm. The aim is important but even more important is to get near enough to the game, which is difficult, very difficult - you need to get as near as 40-50 yards before you can try a shot. And you have just one try, a hunting bow isn't a silent weapon, once you shot it, the game will move, because sound is faster than your arrow. Bow hunting is interesting, but it's really bad if you hit but not well enough - the game escapes and will be the prey of a lion then. Well, I don't regret to have done this, but I won't do it again without a real need to do so.It's not exactly full-pull longbows though. You can use a brace shoulder pad, or indeed brace against a solid object - indeed it's wise to, to improve aim.
that's it - you need not be afraid if you just press it against your shoulder firmly and lean against it - it will have quite a punch, but your shoulder will absorb it, but if there is a distance between shoulder and rifle, the force will be concentrated on a smaller area and the energy be much greater on a smaller area - this can break bones eventually. One mistake I see a lot of new shooters make (I made it myself too back in the day) is to lean back to compensate for the weight of the rifle/shotgun. You're setting yourself up for a posterior landing that way. If you can't "lean into" (forward) the gun, compensate by moving your left foot forward until you can. And for Bob's sakes, pull the stock into your shoulder as if your life depended on it, or the kick is going to be a lot more painful.
Easy one. He knew they would do it anyway, and wanted some drama for funsies. Dude must have been bored to death.I get a feeling we're talking shop now, which, although I can do so endlessly (much to the chagrin of anybody around me) is entirely too serious so...
Can anybody explain to me why G-d made a perfect Eden, telling Adam and Eve they could have anything there, only they could't touch THAT particular tree and then expect them to not immediately go for it? I mean, He does know us humans better than anybody, right?
Edit: I'm a Christian. I just always wondered about this![]()

I think it was done intentionally to us humans. So HE could be rid of us, the sooner the better.Most. Obvious. Prank. Evah!
Of course, we humans being what we are, we fell for it like a cannon ball dropped from 30,000 ft.
Have you never read/seen Good Omens??I get a feeling we're talking shop now, which, although I can do so endlessly (much to the chagrin of anybody around me) is entirely too serious so...

Interesting thought. Although, considering that He's omnipotent, it would seem to me that there were much easier ways at His disposal.I think it was done intentionally to us humans. So HE could be rid of us, the sooner the better.
Oooh... a cockrelino... both quite grumpy creatures... might not pet....
Both.Have you never read/seen Good Omens??
Actually, if you haven't seen it, it's one of the few times where a screenplay lives up to the book... (or even surpasses it... sorry Lord Gaiman...)
