State of the Game

interview with a vampire is getting a tv series on amc... anne rice on tv has been a thing "talked about" for almost 20 years...so yay.

keenu reeves is having his brzkr comic made into a movie ...that should be pretty cool. it's a good comic thus far.
I imagine given your love of voids and left coast location you're excited about that new La Brea Land of the Lost rip on NBC

the self owned market is blowing up with the advent of platforms that allow creators to be directly funded thru subscription .

they even have avenues of physical distribution ... my kick lately has been basically everything by : Stjepan Šejić and his wife

I watched the first episode of la brea and it's basically land of the lost but with time travel instead. not impressed.

edit: so given the lull in new shows between episodes of foundation. we re-watched the whole series of The Good Place. the ending was just as sad as the first go around. Right up there with wreck it ralph sacrificing himself in the first movie ...only way more final.

I never finished Far Cry 5, I got bored 🤷‍♂️
(same as with Cyberpunk 2077 - never bothered finishing that one either)
I know what you mean. For some reason Cyberpunk left me completely cold, which is a shame as I was really looking foward to it. I think I've only played 5-6 hours of it, with two attempts to start and get 'involved'.

So far (only an hour in) FC6 seems the same as normal, this time set on a Jack Carver-friendly tropical island. I've long thought that bringing back the Tri-Gens (or similar) would be quite sensible. I felt this most on the second island of FC3, which you only got to after all the game-play had already been explored, making it (imho) really quite a dull island to work through. I have a worry that FC6 may turn out the same as some regions seemingly locked by 'level', which I find a very tedious mechanic.

They're also (still) using cut-scenes which I find quite boring. The unmissable walking at the start of FC5 is arduous, even first time through.

Back on 'message'.

I defy any sane person to view AL and think its 'good', especially since Netflix cancel much better shows.
I haven't watched much "TV" (in our house that's Netflix, YT TV, Hulu, Amazon Prime w/some extra channels like BritBox, CBS/Paramount) since I binged space documentaries in the first quarter of this year while catching up on RL human spaceflight/Hubble/Webb/SpaceX/Starliner/etc...

Currently awaiting the last season of The Expanse and the next DW, whenever that comes out.

Though I do usually catch a half hour or so of whatever is on the living room TV while I'm cooking breakfast/dinner. Lately our youngest has been binging on House before work and on his weekends (Monday & Tuesday).

I'm usually busy with Elite, preparing for Elite, personal finance/budgeting, housework/DIY, forum reading/posting crap, Amiga, YouTubing, etc... Oh and wanting to Elite...

Now to figure out what I'm gonna do with the beluga and orca (the dolphin's going to be a dedicated burning station rescue ship so I don't have to bother refitting Flipper my current dolphin for those). Broke down on some paint jobs too a red one for the rescue ship, orange and black ones for the orca and green, blue, and gray ones for the beluga for a large military transport look.

Even though the Expanse series under Amazon has declined in quality its at least an order of magnitude better than AL. AL is something that made Amos like this
