IMPORTANT: Steam Workshop Update regarding your Blueprints

You don't have to manually copy anything - the Live version of the game will read saved blueprints from the Alpha version of the game quite happily. As others have said, if you have the blueprint saved in alpha then it should just show up in the Live game, at which point you can stamp it down in a sandbox and create a new blueprint (this upgrades the blueprint to the latest version - you can't upload old versions of Blueprints to Workshop, hence the lack of an upload icon on the old blueprint). Which should then have an "upload to Steam" button, which will upload to the Live workshop.

Once again, no manual copying of files is required. In fact, doing this kind of thing can cause crashes and general instability so isn't recommended. Everything should work through the old Alpha build of the game (which allows you to save out any blueprints that you have uploaded to the Alpha Steam Workshop but have deleted the local versions), and then the current Live version of the game.

Cheers

Hi Andy. Thanks for the response :)

Unfortunately, this was not the case for me. No matter how many times I uninstalled and reinstalled the Alpha game in steam and redownloaded the workshop items, they never showed up in my Live game. Not sure if there's some kind of bug I'm running into or what.

However, the suggestion of plopping everything down in a new sandbox game in Alpha and then opening that save game in Live worked! (Because both games use the same "Saved Games" folder.) I didn't even think of this method because I was trying to follow Bo's instructions and get that working :p
