100% understand and agree. My example was simply the first that came to mind but possibly isn't the best. Either way, a sheer graphical only bug, which isn't permanent, is going to be less a priority to resolve than bugs which actually impact or inhibit gameplay. Especially so with how this crowd cries over the slightest spilled milk when some aspect of game play is impacted.
Generally speaking I would agree with you. The problem arises when FDev wants you to spend good money (and let's face it, paintjobs and especially ship kits aren't exactly priced at bargain basement levels) on
visual items, because people who buy cosmetics tend to enjoy looking at their ships frequently via the 3rd person camera, and seeing these silly bugs may put people off buying cosmetics for that ship as a result.
But if I was FDev I'd simply address this sort of bug quickly because 1) it may impact store sales and 2) I honestly can't see it taking a lot of time for a developer to fix - they already know the issue, and surely the code covering retracting the landing gear won't cover more than a few lines; it's probably just a flag set incorrectly (only taking an educated guess of course, maybe the code is far more spaghetti-esque which would explain other issues also). An easy win basically.
They may well (and by the looks of things, indeed do) see this differently of course, and that's fair enough I guess. Plenty of other ships to play with but it's just a very odd oversight given the ship was one of only
two new vessels released during 3.3, you'd have thought they'd put more care into new content to make sure it works - just like all other 36 ships work in this particular regard, and it's not like it's easy to miss. I noticed it literally the moment I lifted off during the beta, as I admired the otherwise quite nice visuals via the external camera.
