Stowed reloading

I think that's how it works so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Stowed reloading does what the name implies
You empty the magazine (even partially), you stow the weapon or switch to another weapon.
When you activate the Aphelion again, you will have the magazine replenished.

It's extremely nice, even for laser weapons or P-15 (which have fast reload times), to:
  • make sure you always have a full magazine when ready the weapon*
  • for swapping weapons to unshield 1-2 opponents, then switch to a kinetic weapon and finish them, then repeat


*(i even use it on my Executioner/Tormentor combo on my Maverick, so i can shoot someone, scan it, then when i ready the tormentor again, it has a full magazine)
 
Yep, looks like you've understood the problem correctly. When emptying the Aphelion, those pauses to replace the cartridge thing are the reloading cycle. With stowed reloading you could switch to another weapon instead of waiting for that animation to play, but your suit's total supply of reloads is the same.

You might be thinking, this mod doesn't do very much. And for Aphelion I'd say you're right. The reload cycle on the laser weapons is pretty quick. Use a plasma or rocket build, on the other hand, and you'll come to really appreciate being able to keep firing through those veeery loooong reload animations.

One more thing:
Stowed reloading works really nice with Faster Handling since the latter reduces the stow/ready animations time and also reduce the ADS animation time
However, i also think Stability, Magazine Size and Headshot are very important too, but we only have 4 slots available.

So... choices o_O
