I feel like if you could afford the FC, you could afford to sock away 25,000t of Tritium.I'm wondering how many people were planning to refuel "on the go", with a close to zero tritium supply on board. It sounds like it's more than I expected.
I think that there is an off chance that there may indeed be some small number of folks actually stranded. I imagine that maybe there were some people who split up the duties and said "Right, I'll schlep you out to see the Zuarara, but I'm not mining one ounce of Tritium." So they recruited miners and took off. Well, when the mining "nerf" hit, I imagine those miners may have gotten cheesed off and either A) quit playing or B) Kilo Bravo'd back to the Bubble. Now you have a CMDR sat in his FC with no mining ships and no way to get back. If that CMDR is out there, I want to get him home.Heh - there's no-one 'stranded' - I think the word you're looking for is 'impatient', or possible 'workshy'![]()
Ah yes, I forgot about the possibility of ... MUTINY ON THE HIGH SEAS!I think that there is an off chance that there may indeed be some small number of folks actually stranded. But you're right, he's probably not out there.
Keelhauling = The process of running cargo from station to station to save up enough CR to get a Python.Ah yes, I forgot about the possibility of ... MUTINY ON THE HIGH SEAS!
Keelhauling is too good for 'em!
Maybe "jilted" is also sufficient ?!Heh - there's no-one 'stranded' - I think the word you're looking for is 'impatient', or possible 'workshy'![]()

On my first trip I did this. It was terribly boring to fill up so I resolved to make some money and buy a cargo hold full of gas for the next one. Which I did just before the bottom fell out of the supply chain.I'm wondering how many people were planning to refuel "on the go", with a close to zero tritium supply on board. - Over the past few days, the mechanic where an old 'sell order' persists even when your sale has completed, means that cmdrs are coming in and 'buying' tritium from carriers who are in the black en route to somewhere. Not theft, but not very community spirited, and it then means that carrier is then stuck. We just had to organise a rescue/resupply for one yesterday, 10,000ly from the Bubble who was cleaned out overnight. We are now encouraging all carrier owners to check and deactivate sell orders.
Likely they had a sell order in the past, maybe to help out another commander, and having completed it's still there as an active "Export"? Indeed it doesn't help that the sell order can't be limited to amount, it's sell all or nothing. This one is new to me, and I'm a little confused. Why are carrier owners putting sell orders up on tritium they intend to use? Or is it that they wanted to sell a small quantity (for whatever reason) and the sell order allows all of it to be sold, regardless of quantity set?
Perhaps, but if I saw a carrier out in the black with a sell order for their fuel and (likely) a low price, perhaps contacting them (somehow) to confirm would be a good thing to do?I've been refueling inside the bubble, but honestly, if I saw a sell order on another carrier I'd just assume they wanted to sell, because you have to deliberately create that sell order. Can't fault the other commanders for misinterpreting a sell order when it's publicly accessible.
There's currently a small, but nasty bug if you use the transfer option with Tritium (I can only reproduce this with Tritium, but no other commodity so I think this must be an oversight): This transfer automatically sets your Tritium for 'sell', which isn't quite obvious and easily overlooked.
