Turn off any modules you're not using to save fuel. Also, perhaps any passing truckers (or Fuel Rats) would be kind enough to fire a few fuel limpets at the camera ship on the way past as a way of saying thank you.
Excellent idea, can you leave the ship docked and free camera away, to avoid trouble?

Don't think you can unfortunately. You can from pad at surface but cam's restricted to the hangar when you're in garage. Either way you occupy the pad.
Load that freewinder with extra fuel tanks? And - as mentioned - using less power has direct effect on fuel consumption. My calcs say you consume 22.2 grams of hydrogen fuel, per MJ, per second (but that's just being picky, tons per hour reading is next to your fuel gauge).

This reminds me of several of my favorite webcam streams.
- one is a woman in Wales who has it looking out her window. Her sheep come and go, randomly. Sometimes a bunny.
- one is an underwater cam in the Marianas Trench. Mostly it's just gray, silted bottom. Occasionally a nightmare-inducing deep water sea slug wanders through.
- another underwater cam in the Monterey Bay, with various fish, otters, seals and seaweed.
I find them much nicer than a screensaver.

I love this idea! The nature of the "living galaxy" gameplay of ED makes it perfect for livecams like this. Would love to see this become "a thing." Thanks for the share! [heart]
I'm heading there now.. 290K to deliver 4 units of Beer! And I was only 9 LY away from Alpha Centauri! Jumped at the chance, Just made my year, this will be a nice easy delivery, and increase my funds x5!

(just picked ED back up after being away maybe 2 years(?!) now that I have a Rift. Still tweaking controls. This is my second mission in first session with the rift. Nice way to ease back into it!)
I'm an hour in, 33 minutes to go .11LY. A big chunk of time was trying to figure out how to Hyper jump to it instead of SuperCruise, then I found the first old thread warning not to do it...
