If it included the community and social features that are now standard in MMOs (including dedicated, stable servers; regular patches and content releases) - then yes, I would.
I run a couple of software dev teams myself, I understand the effort, planning and most importantly COST that goes into these things. What we have is a single-player game with a few multiplayer elements bolted on, but that fits the current level of infrastructure investment. We can't reasonably expect more without either a micro-transaction store or a subscription model. That is just the economic reality of the business these days. So for example although i think peer-to-peer networking is a poor choice for MP gaming in terms of scalability, I think it's probably the only option that fits in the cost model.
