SOLO mode in ED is a single player expirience, stop calling it multiplayer, it is not and never will be.
The game is a PvE MMO where in Solo mode you are still part of the multi player experience.
This is an undisputable fact, you can login and test it yourself.
If I am in Open or a PG and take my Cutter to a station to start hitting the commodities hard, you'll see what I'm doing from in Solo - in real time.
You can watch the supply levels drop as I take them and the prices change.
Solo is still multiplayer. Whether you like it or not, it is what it is.
If you advertise SOLO mode as a multiplayer content you will get sued for false advertising.
Good job Solo is part of the multiplayer game then, it's the part where it says "you can do this with friends or by yourself".
Game is sold as advertised. See link in my Sig for how it was advertised.
When people hear multiplayer they think about playing with and against OTHER PLAYERS DIRECTLY, meaning meeting them in the game.
Warframe, MMO, has Solo (been out 5 years) and optional PvP with daily competing PvE missions (think CGs).
Star Trek Online, MMO, has Solo missions (been out 8 years) and has optional PvP.
Heck even in Guild Wars 2 I'm ignoring the rest of the players and doing my own thing unless a real life friend is online.
I have no intent to join the PvP or World v World.
Multiplayer does not mean I have to put up with attitudes I don't like or PvP when I don't want it.
Even WOW had PvP servers, so I didn't have to put up with it there either.
I stayed on PvE servers and chat blocked mouthy PvP'ers who'd load PvE servers to moan about PvE servers.
This is a single player expirience, you just need to be connected to server to receive content for your single player game.
And see what other players are doing in real time to your multiplayer game.
Even getting Galnet updates on your multiplayer Power Play progress. See how many more PvE tokens for it have been moved about and where more are needed.
you shouldn't be able damage the work of others without facing the consequences that people in open face.
They can damage my work while I'm in Solo/PG - it's part of the multiplayer experience.
What they do to me via another mode, I can do back via my own mode.
Perfectly balanced system, equal access to all content in a massive sandbox game.
