[Suggestion] Odyssey Ship Module - Drop Pod Bay

Imagine if you will. Sizes 5 and 6.
Size 5: 4 personal drop pods
Size 6: 4 personal drop pods OR 2 personal drop pods and 1 SRV drop pod OR 2 SRV drop pods
Only one Drop Pod bay per ship.

These would allow for deployment into active combined arms combat zones without the need to try and find a "safe" spot to land, deploy, etc.
The pods would have to be purchased, much like the SRVs, but the pods are disposable. In order to utilize said SRVs, one would have to have the Vehicle Bays equipped to do so.

The personal drop pods will come crashing down, using automated thruster bursts to prevent you from dying on impact, crash-landing instead of cratering and leaving your crumpled bodies inside a mess of jagged, twisted metal. Once "landed", the pod will dismantle itself by jettisoning the doors and upper canopy, allowing you and whatever allies were with you in multi-crew to immediately begin engaging enemy forces on the ground (if there are any).

I know this gives off some ODST feelings, but it would be AWESOME.

EDIT: Limit to Federal Dropship, Anaconda, Federal Corvette, Imperial Cutter and select additional large ships. Add a free slot exclusively for the Drop Pod Bay of size 5 or 6, dependent on ship, in order to facilitate.
credit to Snoiperman for the idea.

I was fiddling around making this AC-130 as some fun multi-crew air support to bombard settlements and kept thinking how cool it would be to just land some AI marines out and parachute tanks or LAVs with the fighter hangar bay.

Give the Dropship, Big three, and some large ships a free slot (5-6) restricted to this (Obviously minus the T7 and Clipper).

How do you know if this is a valid suggestion?

I don't. The idea just came to me. Considering the "combined arms sphere of combat", it just seemed like a good idea. Will it happen? shrug Probably not. But if FDev considered the idea and decided to implement it later, I would be ecstatic. I don't even care about credit for the concept. It's not exactly a new idea. But it would be cool as hell.

I think it would be just as simple to get low and let them jump out and use their jet packs to land. But this seems cool enough an idea as well.
However, no, No, NOOOOOO!, to the idea of an extra 5/6 module slot dedicated to drop pods being added to any ships.
I am vehemently against both, adding slots, and further restricting optional slots. Let the drop pod launcher use a current optional slot.
