African Adventure Animal Pack
- Grévy’s Zebra (EN)
- Diana Monkey (EN)
- African Leopard (VU)
- Giant Eland (VU)
- West African Giraffe (VU)
- Honey Badger (LC)
- Helmeted Guineafowl (LC)
- Giant Girdled Lizard (VU) [exhibit] OR Naked Mole-rat (LC) [exhibit]
I love how you add the conservation statuses of the species you nominate! If you don't mind, I'd like to use this set-up going forward for my lists.
Now...I have
THREE DLC Animal Pack ideas, but the one I'm most in favor for is a
Latin America Animal Pack DLC (Personally, I was very disappointed on the small roster of animals from the original South America DLC. Out of the four exhibit animals selected, I felt the alpaca was a waste; while it originated in the Andes, it's a domesticated animal. They should've introduced a species that will be on my roster). I was also thinking of an
African Safari Animal Pack or (a compromise between two) an
Equatorial Animal Pack.
My Latin America Animal Pack DLC Idea:
- White-nosed coati [LC] (I feel this species should be used rather than the more popular South American coati because this species can be featured in more zoo sections; they can be featured in an American Southwest, Mexican, Central, or South American-inspired are of a zoo).
- Ocelot [LC]
- Greater rhea [NT]
- Red-legged seriema [LC]
- South American tapir [VU] (I do agree that another tapir should be added into the game. While most zoos frequently display the popular Baird's tapir, it's my understanding they do this more to emphasize their endangered status and as a conservation spotlight species.) ***
- Geoffroy's spider monkey [EN]
- Guianan squirrel monkey [LC]
- Andean bear [VU] (To complete the bear roster)
- Southern tamandua [LC]
- EXHIBIT ANIMAL: Macaws; I can see them go with the Blue and gold [LC], Green-winged [LC], Hyacinth [VU], Military [VU], and Scarlet [LC].***
The *** are an alternative animal. For the South American tapir, I can swap this out for either the Linnaeus's [LC] or Hoffmann's two-toed sloth [LC]. For the exhibit animal, I can see them going with hummingbirds (with the ruby-throated [LC], Anna's [LC], violet sabrewing [LC], sparking violetear [LC], and white-necked Jacobin [LC]) OR tamarins and marmosets (with the golden lion tamarin [EN], cotton-top tamarin [CR], common marmoset [LC], and white-headed marmoset [LC]).
My African Safari Animal Pack DLC Idea:
- Secretarybird [EN]
- Grévy's zebra [EN]
- Greater kudu [LC]
- Masai giraffe [EN]
- Impala [LC]
- Nile crocodile [LC]
- Hamadryas baboon [LC] ***
- Saddle-billed stork [LC] ***
- Great white pelican [LC] ***
- EXHIBIT ANIMAL: Common agama lizard [LC]
My alternatives for the stork would be either the white
[LC] or marabou
[LC]; for the pelican, the pink-backed
[LC]. I would also be happy to see the East African grey crowned-crane
[EN] added as well.
My Equatorial Animal Pack DLC Idea:
- Secretarybird [EN]
- Greater rhea [NT]
- Andean bear [VU]
- Grévy's zebra [EN]
- Guianan squirrel monkey [LC]
- Mantled guereza [LC]
- Sumatran tiger [EN]
- Nile crocodile [LC]
- Southern tamandua [LC]
- Red-flanked duiker [LC]
NOTE: As much as I agree that we should have the blackbuck in the game to get some more Indian hoofstock, India doesn't have the Equator passing through it. The countries that have the Equator going through it are - Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, São Tomé and Príncipe, Gabon, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Somalia, the Maldives, and Indonesia (specifically Sumatra, Borneo, Sulawesi, the North Moluccan Islands, and Southwest Papua).
