COMPLETED CG Support Utopia’s Proposal to Host the Galactic Summit (Science & Research)

I would like to know if our decisions have any influence on further storyline? For example if theoretically, not enough commanders will take part in this CGs, not enough
data for Tier1 - will summit be cancelled? Will there be big war between superpowers? Alternative storylines?
Or- we have no influence? Guinea pigs for testing - how we will react if there is carrot (double engineered something) or not?

we are still in the 6 months of fixed story lines, so don't think it will matter

It’s just like when in a show the magician makes you draw the cards he wants.

Someday, FDev will also discover the amazing user interface option called a "text entry box", which for some reason seems to have eluded their entire development staff.
They finaly added it in game but only for numbers that are likely to be in billions...

You have to assume that whichever side wins this "race" gets to host the conference. In that case maybe we'll get different outcomes from that, and both the location and outcome will influence the story arc going forward and likely the types of CG we might get to go along with it.

Yea, reminds me of those interactive books where readers were asked to chose different actions for the characters then they were redirected to read different chapters based on their choices.
Nice in an online book where things can be held under control much tighter, not as nice in a paper book where one can easily browse the chapters in a not-intended sequence.

I get what you mean now as i;m "delivering" the data.
They seem to have forgotten how to implement progressively increasing values as they are in the Commodity Market. (they failed to get that right in the carrier cargo transfers too...)

possible, but this assumes that this story will continue? could come to an end with the summit with the purpose just to thrust the 2 groups to the forefront
could even be a second summit hosted at the other site

I'm just not sure they would start a CG that is pivotal to the story this soon into the build up

True enough - who knows ... guess we'll just have to wait and see how things unfold

I remember the 'Lone Wolf' series of books has a way of getting around this: at certain critical moments you are asked questions, each giving you a single digit and you then turn to the appropriate page number, or you have to solve a number puzzle. Much harder to figure out, especially if there are multiple such puzzles (with other pages telling you what happens if you get it wrong) in the same book.
As for this CG, everyone has to ask themselves why they want X over Y. What do you think the consequences will be?
Personally, I very much doubt that the summit will pass off without incident. Will there be Thargoids attacking in one scenario and terrorists in another? The CG does not say where each faction proposes to hold the summit. That could be important information. Perhaps the summit is the proverbial 'poisoned chalice' and whichever faction gets to host the summit will regret it?!

The problem is not getting the materials... but deliver them... in small batches of maximum 1200 :/

.... sorry.... haven't had my coffeee....

Side effect of this CG and material down trading my Free ARX for the week are done for this week with out leaving the station once lol...
Doing 3 x G5 items when only one row of Grade 4/5 item is full is getting realy hard going as you can then only do 300 each material trade and it smegs..

so left for jamies crashed ship, no issues getting there and there are low number of FCs... no lag on entering or exiting... super curse yet..
Been their and back again, round trip alls well in system..

I was thinking the same thing, the conference could end up the same way the peace conferences did in John Varley’s Gaea trilogy where after numerous host cities got nuked after the conference started people started lynching negotiators on sight.

So perhaps it would be better to make the side you like least win.

Should both initiatives be completed to the same tier, the one with the highest contribution will be designated the victor.

So if only 1 material is turned in for one of these CGs and 0 for the other one, both are completed to Tier0, and the CG with 1 mat wins. Summit happens either way.

Nope. If a CG doesn't hit tier 1 then it fails.

Ofc that can't happen now, as both hit tier 1 a while back.
