COMPLETED CG Support Winters's Forces in LP 855-34 (Mining)

I went to check the security sliders.
The Sidewinder Syndicate, who owns Rhea's, are NEUTRAL hence not in lockdown yet but may be heading there slowly..? Not sure how the slider looked like days ago... :-D
Worth keeping an eye on it.

The Undeniable, owned by LP 855-34 Silver Crew (no in-game screenshot, I checked Inara), looks like in a better position...

Oh really?
Is it because they do not have Security ships patrolling the system, so impossible for players to kill any to decrease the slider?
No, the other way round, in general - it was brought in as a rebalancing factor in early 2022 to deal with Anarchy factions having very few options for increasing their security state, since they don't usually issue bounties.

Getting confused here...who owns Rhea's??

I currently have a fine with the SIdewinder Syndicate, but have all services available at Rhea's:

I guess good old Inara is right, and the way to go to check beforehand who owns what...
Still scratching my head to understand what the in-game info, from selecting the station in SC, means... :-/

So, it seems that the CG might be heading toward a lockdown! EH EH :'-D
I think I will go unload my FC today, just in case...

Did anyone else have a problem finding Rhea's Resilience. It is not on the system map, not even listed in the orbital ports.

In the end the only way to find it was in the Navigation panel:

Everybody, I believe. ;)
Has anybody found a way to figure out a way to know if you are on the right side of the ring to drop directly at the station without the need to go through 40km of rocks?

Top 25% now.
As per Inara, you only need above 525T to be in the top 25%...for now...

Keep in mind that most commanders with a Fleet Carriers are likely mining hundreds / thousands of tons, and plan to sell at the station way later. I believe the numbers will change drastically when we get close to the end of the CG...if the CG does not go into lockdown, that is :)

Thanks. Thanks a lot.

For the similar problem of "which side of the ring my construction site is on" I found the following options worked
- recognise which side of the gas giant is which from its bands (trickier with the blue ones, though)
- find some nearby RES, and work out if they should appear clockwise or anti-clockwise of the target as you approach the ring

Great, I can finally put my FC to some use!
I already scheduled the jump to Macua during the day...now if the power could come back (there was a big storm here) to let me play, that would be nice :)
Excellent, this is good to hear. I've been loading my FC this had me worried.

What does the engineered abrasion blaster do that a normal one does not?

Nevermind, silly me. Long range. Does that make the projectile travel faster and thus more likely to hit the target on a rapidly spinning rock?

It does. According to EDSY, it also has 50% less power & distro draw and thermal load, not that it really matters. I just want the extra speed & range.

So, it seems it's OK to mine, transfer to FC, mine some more, then transfer Pt to ship and sell. So...do you need to go to LP 855-34 first and sign up to CG or can you mine on the way?

You just need to sign up before you sell/hand over the mined goods.

Don’t wait too long before handing in as if enough heavily loaded carriers arrive early the CGs could finish due to one of them reaching tier 5 before the end time.

One thing I don't really love about core mining is that you can go to a "platinum hotspot" site in the ring of a "pristine reserves" planet and spend two hours to scan 300-400 bright-yellow asteroids... only for none of them having fissures. Not one.

Then, when once in a blue moon you finally find the ultra-rare asteroid that has fissures, it's not platinum.

It's a complete waste of time for literally zero benefit.
