Ok cool, cheers. I'd just assumed we weren't able to scan it for whatever reason. Just finished reorganising all my ships and was about to leave Pleiades and head off to join the CGs, but might stop over at the crash one more time and see if I can get the scan to work.
ed: Easy as, got it on the first SRV roll over. Yeah definitely a bug, the scan point is 550'ish metres underground.

If it is then there should be a lot more around the pleiades I'd expect.
Somebody scanned a POI in the system and a bug caused all the system POIs to highlight iirc.
I was at the Barnacle Forest, and saw something jumping around on my scanner so I went to investigate. Landed there, about 4.5 km away from the site, was a System Defence Force Eagle. Unresponsive, just sitting there.

This does make sense. The only thing that makes me doubt the age is the presence of canisters of current materials (Thargoid Technological Samples, for example), the same stuff that Palin was asking for recently.
Why would an old ship be carrying canisters of current materials?
Of course there's no way to really date the materials, I'm just going by looks

It would be cool to see oldschool ships crashed as well.
Then again, it'd be a waste of good resources to make a detailed models to be an easter egg only. My money is on that we'll see these things flying.

Despite being a firm defender of FD's modus operandi over this past few years; I'd hazard a guess at a mild bit of RNG immersion breaking...

Is this normal for one of the barnacles near Alcazar's Hope? Was at this one for the first time.
It seemed I was in a corrupted instance ... now I jumped out and back in and all is normal: 2 barnacles and spikes around it instead of inside only one.
