Targeting sub-systems preference - left pane or key bind?

I've got the reverse cycle subsystem key bound to the thumb button on my Logitech G series mouse. Works like a charm.

That's until I drag my HOTAS out of retirement, of course.

DidierDrbois, I use the exact same setup, pinky spinner on the throttle is perfect. Most ships seem to have the power supply (which is my target about 90% of the time!) about 5 to 7 clicks through... I also like that as you cycle through to what you are looking for, u see the drives and such, in case you opt for a different sub system, you can rotate back to that system.

(Edit - removed cycling sub systems issue I thought was a bug, but it's an issue with my controller, not the game *sigh*)

Tap "cycle previous subsystem" almost always 6 times and you're on the power plant, and never have to reorient your eyes to a menu or anything.

#2 in reverse order to get to 6 or7 key presses for PP faster. But the stutter makes it awkward and not so easy to do (as above).

TL;DR.....

Are the Sub-Systems on AI's in a standard order per ship?

For example: -

Python - Power Plant is always at number 10 from the top, or 3 from the bottom of the list.
Anaconda - Power Plant is always at number 11 from the top, or 4 from the bottom of the list.

If so, just wondered if any one has Voice Attack configured so if "Python Power" is called it goes through and selects the Power Plant, similar for "Anaconda Power"?

Thanks & Regards

Keybind for me, but thinking about changing it. Never been a brawler, but if it helps my defend myself from Pirates.... I'm all for it.

What I'd like is for it to remember what I said last time. For example, if I'm targeting someone's cargo hatch now.... Chances are I'm going to want to do the same for the next target, too. So WHY does it always reset between targets?

Also doubly-annoying if you need to untarget them due to chaff, then reselect the powerplant or whatever when you reacquire them.
