FDev, I thank you. Over the last few months since introducing Fleet Carriers, you have made Elite Dangerous even worse than what it was!! Every time you introduce something new, you break something, every time you try to fix what you had broken, you break something else and it goes on and on. I really tried to like Fleet Carriers and the game overall, i mean, I've been playing ED almost non-stop for a year, and on and off for nearly 2 years, but I've had enough: the game is way too grindy, instancing is a nightmare and the game is full of bugs, bugs that have remained in the game for years and you have not bothered to fix. Galnet is gone, community goals are non-existent and commodity markets are a joke. You advertise this game as a trading game, but trading is really difficult to do without 3rd party tools.

And talking about the ED community, the game would be dead without the dedication of the community; the various tools they have created and social events they organise, and now having to create their own community goals because you can't be bothered to do it yourselves is amazing - but all this should be part of the game already!!!. Better tools should be made available IN THE GAME for market prices across the galaxy. If Galnet news can be made available instantly across the galaxy, so should commodity prices!!!

Anyway, i could go on, becasue you don't seem to care about the game as much as the community does, and wanted to thank you because i have spent much more time doing my passion of astrophotography due to difficulties of finding reasons to play this game anymore... When i think of playing Elite, i shudder and prefer to look at the real galaxy outside. Thanks again.. Attached are pictures of Mars and Saturn i took not so long ago

1.) Nice pictures!
2.) Rage Quits are futile: FD can count on you... you‘ll buy Odyssey and probably will return to the game before. My observation in this forum is that Rage Quits stem from frustration from a game that made you being very dedicated and invested to it.

Otherwise you‘d just shrug, say „well that was 3 yrs of fun, good value for money, but now I‘m bored“ and move on - as with any other game, only that the effect mostly kicks in after 50hrs of gameplay not 1000s.

see you around CMDR!

So if 3rd party things work very well, then why would they waste time and resources adding it to the game? Would rather they just add as much new content as they can to Odyssey

Self respect? Happens all the time where developers steal the functionality of the most popular addons and develop it themselves into the core game.

I like ED, it's real.
I like its bugs, its grind and its many issues.
It's like life, things rarely work the way they should, things often don't turn out the way we would like and you have to work your butt off for anything in life.
This doesn't mean we should all go and slit our wrists in dispair, or give up on Elite. It means we go on and try to make things better for ourselves and for everybody. In life no one magically sorts out your problems, if you're unhappy it's up to you to change it. So, as in life, FD are not going to wave a magical wand and make all of our dreams come true. It falls to us as the players and the community to work together and come together and make this galaxy we have been given, a better and more engaging place.
Each of us can contribute in our own small way, wether it be helping a new player get to grips with something they are struggling with, or defending a novice pilot that been ambushed by pirates.
Whinging and complaining serves no purpose other than cause festering negativity.
Go out, make contact with other players, forge friendships, set a goal and go out and achieve it. Above all, be available to help any Cmdr in need.

As long as even one Cmdr keeps the faith, there is hope.
