I will be disappointed if one can solo them. Maybe it should be possible for the most skilled pilots, but it really should not be possible for anybody other than the 1%.

indeed, which is why we need npc wingmates. I too want some content where when i am playing with mates i still have a challenge, right now it is trivially easy when playing in a group

at the same time i do not think it is right to lock out a huge amount of content from the solo player, therefore... as i said before... wingmates FTW. npc or meat suit does not matter.

It's not a tivial programming task. All skill levels have to be accommodated: If Fdev manage to pitch it exactly right then half of us will be able to complain that they're too hard and the other half can complain that they're too easy. It's a delicate balance

That does illustrate the issue with npc balance wonderfully - if they get it exactly right nobody will be happy

Is anyone honestly expecting to see Thargoids on Day 1? I honestly feel this is going to be another tease and draw things out until next year situation.. Great if it isn't, but from past experience, forgive me if I'm a little dubious.

I hope the Thargoids are reactive to the point of handing the knuckle dragging apes their backsides in a basket, letting them off with say 10% hull left and a stern warning to play nice with others. [haha][haha][haha]

Then interacting favourably with the peacful apes who just want to get to know them and have a drink or two.

Not holding my breath on that, looking forward to seeing which way the wind blows or not.
