Thargoid Hive ship model for amazing gameplay and fleet interaction

Now imagine this. Thargoid hive ships have been discovered within human occupied space. The hive ship is absolutely massive, 4-5 stations big and attacking the exterior does nothing. To destroy it you have to fly inside the hive ship through passages and only a small ship can fit. Once inside you could attack the soft and vulnerable internals and kill it BUT you had to fight your way to the hive ship, navigate the small flight corridors to the central chamber, kill the queen and the internal structures and you have to get out in time before the whole thing blows up.

Now, that would be some content worth paying for, would provide some of the best game play available, and would require a fleet sized operation. Major battle outside with large and medium ships giving cover to the small ships trying to penetrate the hive and kill the queen. This would be a fantastic fleet operation and it would give a real and unique purpose to small ships.

Might be a cool thing for multicrew, sending human SLF pilots into the core (30 km range) while the helm and gunner concentrate on a particular 'organ' or sequence of exterior targets that keep the hive ship occupied, or forced to keep the interior access corridors open to their maximum aperture so the SLF's can get through.

Maybe there could be some kind of heat venting organ(s) that, once destroyed, force the hive ship to reroute heat directly to the outside through a particular orifice that's then large enough to fly an SLF through and could be limited to Guardian SLFs due to the way they fold up and the weapons they carry.

I agree this should be more of a squadron based activity though. Trying to solo it with NPC crew at the helm or in the SLF probably shouldn't end well. A very well organised multicrew with helm, gunner and a live pilot to perhaps guide the NPC SLF to an inner chamber could work, if the live SLF pilot's target could be relayed to the helm, and from the helm back to the remote NPC. Adding an order for an NPC pilot to defend your other SLF instead of the mother ship might be required for a coordinated attack like this to work of course.

yeah, that would be great, this is the kind of stuff fdev needs to do. Get shall ships, slf's multicrew and fleets all involved in the content so that each has a specific and unique role to play.
