Thargoid invasion - Next target systems?

It's pretty inconsistent with what I saw in control systems, but I can think of a few possibilities:

1. Scout kills (or maybe kills in general) are just worth a lot more proportionally in Alert systems than they are in Control systems (Using Carpets's numbers, it looked to be about 5x)
2. There is some kind of "complete the Orthrus instance" value to progress that is being triggered, even if the Orthrus leaves.

The plan at the moment is to ease M. Taranis a bit, starting with Haushu and some of the systems around it. Hyades Sectors ZZ-O b6-1 and ZZ-O b6-2 have been consistent top attackers for far too long!

That aside, which systems within reasonable accomplishment ought to be on the eviction menu? Perhaps a storm at M. Taranis to break its targeting completely, a massive clean-up around M. Cocijo just so we get a week with over a hundred total, a recapture of as many previously-inhabited systems as possible, or somewhere in particular for a specific reason?

I’m not sure how much effort clearing the cluster would take or whether it’s actually worth it for the effect it’ll have on Taranis’ actual alert placement, but if Matshiru and a couple uninhabiteds get cleared there’s a region of space the Maelstrom won’t be able to get to without recapturing HIP 25679.

We can contain Taranis but could really use some Controls being cleared out there.

While HIP 25679 is not the only conceivable way there given that Hyades Sector FB-N b7-3 can see Imeut, those look a bit isolated indeed! If I recall, Matshiru also was attacked very early and become Control quite quickly, having only one port. At just within 20 Ly it is not insurmountable at somewhere around 5000 strength; I will keep that idea in mind!

On it! Haushu now awaits delivery, where that one plus a few others nearby will help ease this troublesome trio:

I think we can put Ge and HIP 26926 out of reach tonight; after that, it sounds as if an appropriate plan tomorrow will be to take Vogulmangoi to protect Pentam, then probably clear out some weaker attackers further down and leave you with Senocidi, Trianguli Sector GG-Y c18 and Namayu for now.

@deanom59 - you can change the number in the URL to ask INTRA for a report based on how things were/are on different cycles.
31 is now, next one will be 32 after I get a chance to input/import the new alerts and set who attacked what!
Bit clunky I know - it's a test for part of what I hope will be a more tactical view which also includes the harvest amounts.

If I recall, Matshiru also was attacked very early and become Control quite quickly, having only one port.
It was a victim of the timer bug which was ticking down one week every day for the first couple of weeks. A few like that just got consumed before anyone could do a thing.

Sounds like a plan. Do we know how many Alerts are predicted for next week? Sorry if you've already said.

If you mean across the Galaxy, I have not made special mention recently, although I do include that now in the report at the top or in week 31!
Maelstroms Hadad and Thor each lose two attacks, and Leigong loses four attacks.

If you mean at M. Taranis specifically, it has 33 targets so probably it will get all five Alerts. The top six are inhabited, and I am attempting to reduce that to become at most three this cycle!

I just meant how many in general, will it go down or up from 24.

I just meant how many in general, will it go down or up from 24.

Up to 32 with probably 17 inhabited at present, 13–14 inhabited after our meddling—assuming the Thargoid Council does not misbehave too much. We are able to ensure that the full 40 will be quite rare now, although getting down to 24 involved quite a bit of lucky alignment!

Reducing the M. Thor attacks a bit further is an option, albeit not really as good as continuing to collapse the M. Taranis target options. That said, I did ask—if it would be most pleasing to see 31 Alerts rather than 32, that can be arranged!

Victories in Haushu, Hyades Sectors GW-W d1-81, NS-T c3-14, ZZ-O b6-1 and ZZ-O b6-2, Ngolite and Pathamon! It sounds as if HIP 24329 is awaiting delivery over at M. Oya (well done to SNPX!), and our gradual collapse of M. Taranis targets will continue later with at least Vogulmangoi and Hyades Sector NS-T c3-12.

Vogulmangoi and Hyades Sector NS-T c3-12 have just been delivered a bit earlier than usual, so that we will have a bit of time to observe the result and fix any miscalculations. In the meantime, M. Taranis will get a little more trimming further down its target list; at least Trianguli Sector ZJ-A b1 and Hyades Sector YZ-O b6-0 to keep Hyades Sector YZ-O b6-3 out of reach, then anything further will be based on remaining time but otherwise fine to resume next cycle!

Victories in Hyades Sectors NS-T c3-12 and YZ-O b6-0, Vogulmangoi, HIPs 19157 and 25840, and Trianguli Sector ZJ-A b1! That becomes seventy-five systems, including every Invasion and Alert. Well done again to Commanders who continue to recapture populated systems; it is becoming quite the steady feature with seven of those this week.

Hopefully this also helps to start M. Taranis on a path of deflation; two weeks ago its targets would begin with a wall of at least ten inhabited. it started this week with six plus another in eighth, and it ends this week with three. That is unless it reaches past five empty systems to attack Cheditjala of course, but I presume that would at least have much value to help understand when and why that happens!

The Hyades Sector AV-O b6-5 Overachievement Award goes to Awara for reporting 178.3%, just a fraction above HIP 2422 at 178.1%!
