I wonder. Should this new development remain consistent, would it be plausible to completely wipe M. Leigong? Its closest barnacle matrix is just under 15Ly.
Hm. Unfortunately, I suspect gathering 20,000 pods may be beyond my capabilities…Emptying M. Leigong was sort of our original idea if Operation Redacted worked well, before the Matrix sites appeared not long after announcing it. Removing Hyades Sector KN-K b8-3 would un-impasse that idea for a bit, which is 16.2 Ly with 2612 strength or 13060 rescues, but indeed ultimately it requires HIP 9180 at 14.4 Ly with 4123 strength or 20615 rescues.
If you can stockpile 20615 pods while INIV clears any relevant systems which are likely to result in a Counterstrike at all remaining Matrix sites to make use of the duplicated progress, we can do it!
Stockpiling pods is harder than samples because they don't show up to trade on the carriers still afaik. If you can stockpile 20615 pods while INIV clears any relevant systems which are likely to result in a Counterstrike at all remaining Matrix sites to make use of the duplicated progress, we can do it!

Ok, I'm up for that offer, I'll be happy to help fund it too!Victories in Arietis Sectors TY-P a6-2, LM-V b2-2, OS-R a5-0, TY-P a6-1, TY-P a6-0 and LM-V b2-5, Hyades Sectors UO-Q b5-2, KH-L b8-0, CV-O b6-4, ST-Q b5-2, ST-Q b5-3 and TO-Q b5-2, Col 285 Sectors WN-Z b14-5 and RM-B b14-4, Cephei Sector FB-X b1-1, Pegasi Sector JH-U b3-8, Vaipacnali, HIPs 6570, 22422 and 22688, and Holvandalla! Additionally, another Matrix system Hyades Sector DX-H a11-1 is complete, and three more at M. Indra are soon to follow.

Using the Matrix systems for measurement, rescues at M. Indra thus far appear to account for around 830 strength (4150 rescues), and at M. Taranis we have around 530 strength (2650 rescues). Depending on how that continues and which Counterstrike systems remain as we reach Tuesday–Wednesday, I think there is a strong case for leaving some time open and finishing a few of those systems which received a good start via rescues.
A bit more rescuing at M. Indra will complete three more Matrix systems, leave a few other empty Control systems at around two-thirds, and several inhabited Control systems with at least a fifth. At that point, actually the best action then would be for everyone to move over to M. Taranis, for rescues there have pushed the Matrix systems Hyades Sectors HW-M b7-4 and EG-N b7-1 just beyond the one-third surplus threshold. Even if those do not complete, all further rescue progress ought to carry over next week, at least in theory!
Setting aside Matrix systems and looking simply at the fastest clean-up, there is also a case for moving over to M. Raijin. Staying at M. Indra will start to have limited value as those remaining Counterstrike systems become complete, but either way it is working very well, and it will be quite fine to rescue as one will and review later which systems can be adopted for individual completion!
Indeed; it would be a matter of each Commander using their own Carrier. If there are some Commanders around who are great at rescues but without Carriers, I am tempted to help fund them!
The Argus Defence Fleet have announced on Discord they'll be pushing Obamumbo (which was their target before the whole pod thing, so there is local desire to clear that specific system). May be worth seeing how that turns out.Setting aside Matrix systems and looking simply at the fastest clean-up, there is also a case for moving over to M. Raijin. Staying at M. Btw, has anyone checked - maybe Titan tissue samples are now counted in war progress?

It may also be worth testing some ordinary samples from a Titan system, too. On the off chance they did it so "progress at Titan - progress in Counterstrikes" rather than specifc to the pods, sampling there would be... rather effective.Very good consideration; that may be difficult to test at the moment, but I like the idea of storing a few and delivering them on a Thursday to discover what happens!
Given the fact I've had some free time this evening, I've conducted a test myself! 176 Scout + Cyclops samples from M.Thor's system have been delivered to a Rescue ship (pre-hourly tick), so now just to wait 15-30 minutes for everything to update and see if it worked.
I assume that means carriers can enter those systems now?The surface sites in the cleared system look normal, with revenants as usual. The systems themselves are clear, though, so you don't have to worry about thargodictions to get there.
