Thargoid invasion - Next target systems?

And Cojico has vanished - controlled systems appear to not be controlled any more

Somebody break down the trailer for me please, I came back into the game during the end of the final phase of the war - definitely missing a lot of the nuance.
There isn't too much nuance. Cocijo has bolted from its system and seems to be headed towards a place where two small probes called "Voyager" are flying around. Incidentally, Sol seems to be in Thargoid alert.

We're doomed! We're all gonna die! Doesn't anyone think of the children?!?

And Cojico has vanished

Further to that, Titan Cocijo is now visible on the FSS from nearby systems, in my case Col 285 Sector OS-T d3-130 very close to its original system. The FSS frequency is the one at the tiny little signal blip shown here:

Cocijo signal 2.jpg

From this position, that signal is some 10–15 degrees to the side of the Sol direction; this is the FSS view while pointed at Sol:

The Titans arrived originally in much the same manner as you saw T. Cocijo leaving; they have a space drive which is like Supercruise Overcharge but for Hyperspace instead. That moving signal I just pictured is exactly as the eight Titans were arriving, albeit without names at the time; they were only Unidentified Interstellar Anomaly. We should be able to watch its progress from systems out to the side of its path.

The video then ends with a quite nice comedic scene with Interceptors wondering what in the Galaxy is the Voyager probe. Anyone who has watched Interceptor behaviour for a while—especially around a Titan—will know that they love finding items!

Unfortunately the start of the video opens with a missed opportunity to show a Python 2 destroying the Glaive; it uses a simple Krait 2 instead.

Thank you for that very detailed breakdown! 😁 By that line of thinking, Sol would be the ultimate treasure trove of exotic human items for the Interceptors.

We're all doomed 😱

I don't see much direct impact on Powerplay from this beyond the symbolic - Barnard's Star, Tau Ceti and several other Archer control systems nearby mean that losing Sol purely loses Sol as all the nearby Exploited systems are cross-supported.

Of course, it depends what happens after that. Assuming the current Alert has a few extra zeroes on the end of the difficulty score, Sol has enough stations to keep an Invasion going quite a while. Or it could be tough but beatable and just a diversion.

Their previous travel was system-to-system and it took a few hops to get a solid idea of which way they were going. From BA-P c6-18 it should be possible to line it up to its first hop, at least?
