Thargoid invasion - Next target systems?

I hear that AXCZs still exist, a bit further out from the bubble presumably, California Nebula and so - can anyone tell me how to find them?
Could look in inhabited systems around Merope, may just be NHSS rather than AXCZ though.
Thargoid activity goes a fair ol' radius around there, I had a hyperdiction jumping to Pleiades Sector OI-S b4-0 on the way (the stun and scan type).
That system was infested with NHSS, probably needs ports/factions for AXCZ.to appear though

If AXCZs persist in the California nebula it is thanks to a CG which occurred relatively early on in the Titan incursion (just a few months after arrival), so I would not count on them being functional. Andecavi is a similar example of having been host to an AX CG while the Titans were still wandering over, but despite its conflict zones persisting they do not appear to be functional and remain empty when visited, I'm told.

For any such active combat scenarios we'll likely have to wait until the next part of the Thargoid war kicks off. Which I think is more of a question of when than if.

... right now, Sol is another kind of hot zone. Of political mess more than anything, but it looks like Archer really wants to move back in there.

I haven't watched the whole stream to find out the specific system name, but post-Cocijo XSF were fighting at an AX Combat Zone out in California, so you should find the details you need in here. The AXCZ UI is visible in the top right after the 2 hour mark, so find that and work backwards from there to find the explanation:

Kira raises a good point though in that it's not entirely clear at the moment whether this has been deliberately left for us to play about with or just a loose-end that FDev will tidy away with a future update. Don't expect it to be there forever.

EDIT: I found a handy screen-grab rather than having to scan the video. This is from the 23rd of December:

I have been wondering why there are missing blocks at the top of the 'Titans Destroyed 8' decal!
It does not look complete.
(can't do a screenshot as I play on Shield TV not PC where I am writing this)

So, is there another decal or 'finale' to come yet? (shame if it is just a Thargoid 'finale' and nothing ongoing)
UNLESS it is the final destruction of Thargoid Home (in COL 70?, wherever), which would also leave me very ashamed to be part of (RP)

...and now everyone goes back to hunting bugs the old way. In the Pleiades lol
Maybe, once I'm back to Sol (Colonia...again)? I'll go and visit the old Palin engineering site, which should still be haunted by bugs till this day. I visited it, once, maybe in 2021(?) and it still was then.

Obviously, this is not part of the frontier narrative, and since there's no actual script for it I don't know how successful this will be. Maybe frontier will be generous and let us do the final shutdown.

HIP 22460

He does have a point; it really is a big "loose end."
While i get the sentiment, i hope not. HIP22460 deserves more than just being shut down with pew pew.

If FD were to piggyback it, I'd hope it would co-opt into their extant intent.

I agree, I think that nothing will happen until the script is installed to let it happen. I have a feeling that we have not heard from the last of Mr Witcherly or the guardian AI, so this might be a loose end that needs a story to help it along.

Worst case it will just remind Frontier we haven't forgotten about the system and are waiting for something to happen with it.

Though I haven't got too many hopes regarding the story right now with the GalNet pacing the last... however long it's been since it went back to snail's crawl mode, superficially story-relevant articles which only really excuse gameplay stuff (and sometimes very poorly [disguised]) appearing quite a bit more recently, or just outright weird writing. EG the Thargoids randomly attack Shinrarta out of the blue, only then after they waste a lot of ships on it do they decide "Hm, maybe we should look at that human connected to the hivemind" and go for Sol (because apparently they somehow knew about the Pilot's Fed HQ or that it was an important location, but not Sol, before they poked a human's brain). But wait to do it until their last Titan in the Bubble is already almost pushed back completely... you name it.

Then there is the whole mess surrounding the torpedoes and the unclassified relic which feels it has had basically all its story dumped on the cutting floor because gameplay designers wanted their WW2 in space reenactment pushed even more heavily, and they wanted torpedoes for it, so the writers seem to have gotten told "Make it work". And we got magic Guardian nanobots that are magically immune with no explanation for why (or how, rather), which the Thargoids are also completely oblivious to despite collecting those corrupted/altered relics themselves (instead of outright destroying) and, you know, them being created through a Thargoid machine. Plus the fact they (possibly/probably) subverted the entire Proteus Wave mechanism to do the reverse of what it originally did.

... rambling about these questionable things aside, I'm sure it will tie into the Salvation "Nemesis" resurgence and whatever Guardian shenanigans come with it, in some way. A few tinfoil hatters are very convinced it was not a weapon but just an excuse to toss old Wycherley's mind into the Guardian network. I don't personally believe that particular theory, though.

Hey, I've been on a needed vacation away from my PC since Cocijo died but I wanted to pop in and say: Thank you.
None of this would have happened without this community and I'm very glad to have contributed even a little to the work lead by Kira and Aleks and I'm proud that the soldiers in LL and IXD stepped up beside me when needed. This was a crazy two years with a lot of fun science, new friends, and incredible experiences that we'll possibly never see again and I hope you guys are also taking a much needed break while there's some quiet.

Thank you also! Everyone here has had their especially memorable moments for me; easily this was yours:

And finished. I know I was merely a cargo delivery driver for the most part but it was still a GREAT honor to be able to not only help in this operation but also to be the one who delivered the last samples to close the lid on Taranis' control systems; hopefully for good.

Also having flown many Titan practice evenings with Commanders who would never have fought them otherwise, it should be pleasing to know that Attacking Titans was a genuinely helpful way to help some Commanders understand it:

On one occasion, I even made a higher-contrast version of it for a Commander with impaired vision. Some people are receptive to having every detail explained for each part of the journey between safe areas on the way to the Titan, and others are receptive to crayons!
