Thargoid invasion - Next target systems?

Are you sure about that high a demand for Vogulu? As a peripheral system it will reach 85% just from Spire actions, after which it needs only 654—and even that delivery may be racing against Commanders completing missions!
You may be right - I just fed the system numbers into the sampling spreadsheet and placed a buy order for 100% on the carrier. I'll change it...

1103 Scythe Samples offloaded from me from Col 285 Sector KW-M c7-4 with an initial starting progress of 8.6791%

Thank you! The remaining strength for Col 285 Sector KW-M c7-4 looks now to be at most 8236; I will nudge for an Invicta inventory check later, before we start pushing that system this evening.

If the remaining non-peripheral amounts become difficult for a delivery to be helpful, one option could be to claim a peripheral system held until later, perhaps accumulating more than one system on the same private Carrier. Alternatively, the next week system HIP 31648 is quite highly economic to attack this week, where 8158 now will move a future attacker into the periphery and save 13464 later!

Current confirmed for-KW-M c7-4 count is 782 samples, will drop the buy order to ~8k to offer better payout then.
893 samples total on-carrier at this time, waiting for API update to verify if any went off-course.

-- 893/893 for the right system so far, good stuff.

Is it Scythe or Scout samples we should be going for?
So far can't buy/sell Scythe samples at a carrier, thus far they appear to be about equivalent - if individual commanders prefer grabbing scythe samples to store at their own carrier for now for the spire-assisted, or sell directly for the non spire assisted systems, bonne chance to them.

If I collect samples in the Col 285 Sector RH-B b14-0 system and sell them at the station in Vogulu, will progress be made for both systems at once?

Given the pace so far, days left in the week and the Aggressive rate that the buy order was filled overnight...

Setting up Invicta for the second easiest stretch target, leaving HIP 31648 at ~8k open so people can choose depending how everything else looks later in week, between update and activity. Figure not everyone has 10k+ carrier space to charge at these things.

Worst case if it doesn't happen, effectively pre-prepared samples for next week. If it does happen but pace indicates we can't take another stretch target we're still a little better off, there's no Oya-style pitfall in the middle of 'doing enough to cause a problem but not enough to fix it'.

Carrier in position, docking access set to all, Buy order 11,000.

For @Tobytoolbag, it looks like Vogulu has been completed by impressively eager Commanders running missions! I know I prefer not to take it for granted, but I think the populated system Alerts attract enough attention that we would only really need to worry about them later in the week if they are still around.

For @Cmdr Daedalus Spyke, we completed the remainder of the LLV Negotiator order; assuming the first amounts were correct, that ought to be fine to sleep until the periphery is complete, unless one wants to layer another peripheral system of course!

...Heads up that our phantom friends have struck again apparently?

Didn't see anyone claim the system so, interesting times.

Wasn't me this time. I was only starting to stockpile Scythe samples for when it became a requested target....that being said, I need someplace else to work (besides Col 285 Sector QM-B b14-3, I think that'll be covered comfortably)

Very well anticipated on your part, though!

The options really are only:
  • Holding one of the 15% payloads.
  • Attacking another system from the non-planned list, for what fewer systems in week 78 is worth.
  • Helping the Spire site peripheral progress—both exposed Matrix systems are attackers this week.

Rgr that CMDR. Turned in about 500 samples myself to assist. Will go to one of the less popular systems next time!

I saw this yesterday but have been in at a friend's house since. I do confirm that the buy order of 1,180 is complete and all from the target system.
If needed, I can re-open the buy order for Col 285 Sector RH-B b14-0 as well since that's the last one left. If this is needed, then I've moved my carrier to Col 285 Sector RH-B b14-4, just a short jump away, to facilitate the operation for 925t

Many thanks again to all at the Spire sites; at well over a sixth daily, the two exposed sites are projected to clear! That will stop two attacks and should leave zero Alerts next week; the alternative if not cleared is quite the Alert cascade, which is not terrible trouble, though would be a one-week delay back to the original schedule I had in mind.

The hope is that completing the peripheral progress is one of the first applications of all the new Python 2 starships flying around after the update tomorrow, despite full knowledge of my own wish to cover it with Fragment cannons!

Added to the list! That system escaped the Research vessel jump range from a Carrier parked to serve the others; we will complete that order some time today.

I have 2200 Thargoid Bio-Storage Capsules from Hadad, for next week.

Thank you! I added a special note to the next periphery on the week 75 list; at 5-to-1 strength duplicated across three systems, definitely this is a rare opportunity to promote Titan rescues held for next week (perhaps for a @Kira Goto?).

So that everyone knows, this follows a recent test which showed that Bio-storage capsules rescued from the Titan should be an actually useful thing to do next week, at least if one has a Carrier on which to store them. As with Research payloads, the actual delivery needs to be after 85% peripheral progress is reached!

The efficacy is five Titan rescues per one Research, but will be multiplied by helping all of HIP 30502, Omumba and Montioch together.

Given the 11000 was filled in approx 2 days while the 8k system went down in the background and it's only Monday morning at the moment, decided to greed/be bold again.

Same logic as the previous really, worst case it's samples pre-prepared for next week, mid-case - we get to know if 2 systems left still flags as Compromised, and if people go above and beyond, I wouldn't be upset over a week 78 clear and earlier start on the next front.

b14-4 primarily because I had the parking for it, secondarily in case we get any further surprises.

A few other discoveries are also possible there! We have also:
  • Whether a remaining Spire site affects or prevents a Titan assault.
  • What becomes of a remaining Spire site if its Titan explodes.
  • Whether Spire actions are still needed to clear a remaining site after the Titan explodes.
  • Whether Spire actions still progress another remaining Control system after the Titan explodes.
As mentioned before, there is no problem here either way; leaving empty Control systems around is fine as long as they behave themselves, as is enough Commanders wanting zero Control that such becomes the case!

For anyone counting the systems and wondering why the result will be two, it is because the very strong Col 285 Sectors RH-B b14-2 (37882) and VN-Z b14-0 (29283) get one final attempt at Muruidooges after week 76. Preventing that would advance three, but at a cost of well over 20000 per system!
