So i was entering the Pleiades Nebula for the first time and i discover a Distress Signal. Then i find a ruined Imperial fleet With a Majestic Class Interdictor destroyed in the middle. Then i hear what i thought was a Thargoid ship. And i was right. After what seemed like it scanning me, it started to fly around and scan the wreckage. Thankfully it did not attack me.

The Distress Signals also lead to Thargoids (multiples) at wrecks of Federation ships ..... but we need to keep an eye on where these are occurring .... if they are getting closer to the Bubble ......

Help collect data on the Thargoids during your time in the Pleiades: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/381230-Thargoid-Data-Gathering-Effort-We-need-your-help!

Have fun :)

Ive seen these wreaks and thought the same. This was no small engagement that has cost the lives of hundreds if not thousands crew aboard those ships. The idea the thargoids are pacifists is no longer valid.

Depends who shot first. They could have just been out there repairing some damaged escape pods for us, humans jump in with all guns blazing, Thargoids act in self defence. :D

Given the Thargoids fly right up into your face, and then go hostile if *you* don't back up, I say kill them all! :D

I am pretty sure we shot first. Also I wouldn't want to declare war on the Thargoids so far. It's the lack of communication which is a problem for even the most reasonable mind I think. We can only look at their deeds, and what they do so far is being very passively scavenging, which includes escape pods, and that's exactly where they cross the line. Willingly or not. I am pretty sure there are also non-hostile solutions to that, but there's another problem with their lack of communication: even if you look at them in a matter of fact way, not as enemies, it's a swarm of big ships with the potential of mass destruction, which is not willing, or capable, of stating its intentions. They could as well be some natural phenomenon at the moment. Doesn't change the potential even if there is no intention at all.
