Thargoids

Thargoid Technology Research Results

a. The Barnacles are partly a propulsion system alike Jet Engines. They spray green gas which turns space into liquid. After that, the ship which looks like a flower propels itself forward like it was in the water. In other words, the Thargoids consider space as a liquid environment.

b. The Barnacles which we see being harvested have a suppressor that will release/jets the pressured gas towards the ship that is refueling. The SRV's or ships near the barnacle are simply been picked up by the liquid space vortex and then been pushed up at the target. The same would happen if you go too near jet engine while it's working. More so, if you go near water jet engine.

c. The green gas which we see sprayed in front of the flower opens supercavity that has similar use with Russian torpedo which can fly under water at vast speeds. This very same green exotic gas causes space to have liquid zones that your FSD can not handle to fly through. -You can see Thargoids picking up speed by spinning faster their propellers, this is because they propel the liquid space to gain thrust. - The supercavity makes it a cheap way to fly in liquid for Thargoids and then it is more natural to stay in then drop out. - -

In case you hit their exotic material in space, you will drop out from hyperspace. It is like an airplane hitting the water. You will stop. In this case, Thargoids hunt ships by spraying this green gas between systems as a trap.

d. The small barnacles that do not have a suppressor blow gas from them all the time. These you can see around the Thargoid Invasion Ships that have landed upside down on planets. The space distortion can be seen if you go close enough. Yet this gas transforms to atmosphere near the ship.

e. In the middle of the invasion ship, the bottom which is now pointing towards space, you will see large barnacles in a circle which is turned off. When these barnacles are activated, they work alike water jet engine/shot gun which will shoot the green gas beam or beam material to the direction it has been aimed at. This also works as a propulsion and a dispersion system for the cocoons. - It seems that when these barnacles are activated, they all work as propulsion or a gravity sling shot that exhausts green gas and material.

d. When we scale up this "barnacle" system, it becomes a massive shot gun we could call "the gateway". When you fly through it with the max speed it will multiply the speed and shoot at the target system. In other words, it is not a Stargate or a worm hole. It is more like a spray / shot gun depending on ammo and consumed power it is about to blast. (Gateway is not a stargate as in the movies.)

f. It seems very likely that guardians have synthesized the barnacles for their use. - Which means Thargoids were the first race that was able to travel in space. -

g. In Amiga 500 game version, The Raxxlans adopted the technology from Thargoids. They have 5 supermassive towers at their planet which they used for energy and for transport. The reptile race was in a stalemate with thargoids and shared technology with them. They are able to transport the entire "ex planet Raxxla / space station" to a new location after they had consumed the area they were in.

h. Also in Amiga 500 version, Ben Ryder had built the gateway from Thargoid technology, which means he had ripped off plenty of Thargoid ships and reconnected the parts in space, which formed the Gateway...

...

i... The cavity torpedoes will be most likely introduced to shoot down Thargoids because the cavity is actually the way to punch through the liquid space bubble. They are shielding themselves in liquified "space distortion".

The Scavengers are the best thing to view if you are confused. Listen how the liquid flows from their back. They also act more like a fish than an insect.

Rather than say what I really think, I'll just ask - what are you talking about here? Where is this coming from? Why are we discussing Russian torpedoes for undersea use in a space-game set hundreds, if not thousands of years into the future? Where's the game-related research to support any of this? The barnacles you're talking about, are these the same ones we've been finding in-game for quite some time and harvesting meta-alloys from all this time? If so, what are they propelling? The planets that they're growing on?

You've linked in all manner of outside sites that have nothing to do with Elite at all.

I motion this be moved to an off-topic discussion sub-forum, since Star Wars and the Russian navy have nothing to do with Elite whatsoever.

All and every link is related to what is said above. It is more common to ignore what you do not understand than get to understand the concepts that are linked below. The information is absolutely valid if you would pay attention to what is told.

Thargoids transform the space to liquid and they use space as water. They act as if they would be under water and their propulsion systems seem to be hybrid water jet and propellers. The green gas effects the space turning it to liquid. Their jump is supercavitation in space.

The fact you need to pay attention to what is actually in the game right in front of you might help you to understand much more. Since it seems difficult to understand things in front of you, we present the links so you could get the idea how to observe the Thargoids. You have to accept that not every detail comes from your favorite faction. Since last time our research was flamed and then turned out to be facts in the game... Your motion is to troll and throw out competition.

When I don't take my meds I come up with stories like this as well. I should write a book perhaps :D

Then explane in detail what part required meds to understand. Perhaps if you used less you could actually progress in your skills to observe.

Take a very good look at hyperdiction videos and explain why they ramp up spinning speed while they need more thurst?

Then take a close look at scavengers propulsion and compare that to the sub presented. Explain the sound of liquids cavitation present at the scavenger.

Next task is to find miniature barnacle that has not been supressed. Pay attention that it does produce gas which distorts space.

Next you need to go to the barnacles which has been supressed and see the release of the pressured gas beam towards the thargoid that is refueling. Note that the vortex around that event will push ships toward the thargoid due vortex created by the green gas. The space is liquid and hypercooled because of that. So in basics all the material is dragged towards the thargoid.

Next pay attention how the thargoid sprays a green gas upwards and ramps up propulsion by propelling the liquid space. The speed will arise and it starts jet propulsion to enter hyperjump through supercavitation explained above in the link.

The very same happens at hyperdiction also.

There are small jet barnacles at the back of the flower ship. You may consider it a butt if you like.

Ramp up the size to extremely large scale and go see the crashed ships. They do have 8 sided extremely large barnacles towars the sky. In middle you see 8 sided gate. That is what we call shot gun shell doors.

When you go inside the ship turn your camera upside down and take a good look at the room in the middle. Those are cocoons ready to be shot out. Yet you cant simply understand to this point without any calculator at your hands.

The other information is found in Amiga 500 version of the game. After you have completed the missions and gained Elite rank, with luck you will find Ben Ryder at Lave Station. Complete his missions.

FD tries - wherever gameplay does not demand a different solution - to follow the laws of science.
You claim Thargoids would turn "space" into liquid "something"(not defined).

Pls. define "space".
Pls. define the liquid substance.
See where you get with this following a scientific approach (spoiler: nowhere)

QED:D

Spoiler Thargoids are not real. Not a single thing applies to reality with them. 7+age for rate does mean that it is not Einstein to figure that out. However you want Thargoids...

Space. A void which has positive and negative energy state which changes all the time.

Green gas, unformed metamaterial that has an exotic reaction to gravity and space. It hypercools quantum material to a temporal liquid.

The source. All pseudo science fed to us by visual FX in the game engine.

Scientific approach... Tell them an alien story of impossible but plausible science and call it Thargoids.

I don't know what Onionhead you're smoking, but it must be really good stuff. :)

Before you try to belittle me as "not understanding" or "wilfully blind", I've read the whole thread, I understand the point you're making, and I believe you're making too many assumptions and reading too much detail into something which is, at the end of the day, a game.

Speculation is fine, but don't present your theory as if it's solid fact. It is a theory, a detailed one, but only a theory. Frontier will decide if/when to release more info about the Thargoid tech. That's probably what Palin's new missions for Unknown items will lead to.

Someone posts a theory about Thargoids he probably put some time into and instead of people reacting like:

"Sounds interesting but I think you are wrong and would like to prove that with my counter theory or these provable facts."

He gets this:
